I feel like Justice Leauge fics have a distinct lack of Barry being a forensic scientist. Like they all have Bruce covering all things crime, which whatever, hes the world's greatest detective for a reason, but I want to see him go to Barry and be like:

"Hey so, this lady's skull was shattered at an exact point but there's no entry or exit wounds. What does that mean?"

Then Barry says something really cool and smart because that's his job. Bruce doesn't have a degree in forensics.

i think my favorite thing about the new history of the dc universe comic is that barry allen is telling the story. barry who mapped the multiverse, barry whose death changed everything, whose choices changed everything, whose origin story starts with him reading a jay garrick flash comic at work. he records the history of superheroes. and as sad as i am to see him retired I’m just as happy it’s him because this is what he probably dreamed of as a kid. the first history of a hero to be written was the life story of the flash by iris west-allen and now barry’s taking a page out of his wife’s book and i cannot stop thinking about this
