The fact bullying/peer abuse isn’t ever taken seriously infuriates me so much.

I was forced to hide myself at school - my drawings, my ideas and opinions, my feelings. I learned to hate group assignments, presentations, fieldtrips, birthday parties, any lighthearted school event that involved interactions with my classmates.

I still can’t get close to people, even if I want to, because I constantly fear that everyone secretly hates me. Even my friends.

I’m 20 years old - almost 21 - and I still have bad dreams that I’m back in High School, being harassed by my bullies, being neglected by the adult figures around me. Those memories keep haunting me to this day.

And yet people dare say that bullying is harmless.
