How do you do the thing where you add a gif to your post and it has the little line crediting the maker underneath?

I’m glad you asked! 

How to put a gif into your post, while giving credit to the artist who made it:

When you make a post you can press the ‘return’ key and then a little plus will show up.

Click the plus icon and you’ll see some icons (a camera, a projector and the world ‘GIF’

Click ‘GIF’

A window will pop open and you can use it to search for any shows or people you’d like to reblog a gif about. (for example: ‘Psychopath Diary’, ‘Extraordinary You,’ ‘Park Seo Joon’)

Click on the GIF you want to use and it’ll post it on your entry with credit from the maker :)

Notes: 

Tumblr is weird, we know this. Sometimes you won’t see the gif you want but you know it exists! If you find it another way, and want to post that one specifically, click the permalink button (it looks like an airplane) to get the URL. Copy that link into the gif window and it will find that gif allowing you to post it.

Tumblr will only let you post the first image of any set, no matter what. This is frustrating and annoying but that’s how tumblr works. It’s a hellsite, but it’s our hellsite :)
