One of the best, classic fics in the From Eroica with Love fandom is ‘Hold’ by the famous writer Sleeps with Coyotes. It has a very practical yet moving push forward in their relationship while still staying quite close to their usual characters. It is hard to find, but a great piece.

The epic classic “A Rose Vine and a Wire Rope” by Kadorienne [2 part series] is a really fun fic. It has a really startling focus: Klaus, removed from his position, in Alaska and disgraced. The hilarious reason why he’s in Alaska is just the beginning of what makes this fic great. It’s so true to his character, and Dorian is both his annoying [and eerily perceptive] self. When the chips are down, it’s great to see how both of them act, and how Dorian tries to help someone so unlike him. A true required reading fic.

Iron Pokers into True Love Knots by Kadorienne is a great look at what might happen during a domestic, working relationship that fits naturally into their canon lives. It has hilarious little details, and a great part about paintings. The fic really delves into both their personalities with a deft touch and witty asides; typically fics don’t get into the psychology of each character, but here it’s the driving force. It’s a classic fic and rightfully so!

There are many types of From Eroica with Love fic, and these are some recs:

For a great ‘typical’, eventful situational fic, The Iron Mask by Kadorienne is amazing. The Major has amnesia, and so draws lots of interesting conclusions. Both the journey and the outcome are excellent, hilarious and perfect fun. There’s an undercurrent of serious reality, which makes it even more satisfying. While the fic is a happy ending type one, it has a good grounding in canon’s hints of Klaus’ odd choices and non-conformity, despite his law and order vibe, ie. his unusual hair length, his barely there respect for superiors, his total rejection of women/typical marriage that his father/heritage would warrant, etc. 

In a big way, Klaus is unpredictable, and this fic focuses on that.
