Nordic Drift Series is a an event running in 4 stages throughout the year. There are 3categories for the participants: Pro, Semi-Pro and Rookie. Lots of people take part in the competition as racer or amongst the audience.

Here is an action packed video of Riedel Motorsport, drifting a BMW E46 with V8 engine that packs 700 HP and 1.000 NM, carrying the Schmiedmann banner!

Another M3 has visited our workshop, and this time around it was an BMW M3 E92 that needed to have the rod bearings of the S65 engine replaced before they got too worn out and the engine damaged. 🔧🔩⚙ A common issue with the S65 V8 engine found in the M3 E9X generation is the rod bearings and how quickly they are worn out. If the rod bearings are not replaced before they are too worn, further damage will be caused to the engine and the repairs become costly. Last week we had a BMW F11 535DX in the workshop for a few days in order to replace the N57 engine. Our BMW F30 S3 335I project car had a valvetronic adjustment motor error and after we had replaced it, we were unable to reset values and remove errors. Our technicians found that when the valvetronic adjustment motor is replaced, the eccentric shaft needs to be replaced as well.

On the picture of the old eccentric shaft, there are clear marks of wear and tear. It is a weakness in N55 engines that have run between 110,000 km and 150,000 km, that they need to have the valvetronic adjustment motor and eccentric shaft replaced. Our F30 S3 has driven 129,000 km.

Last week we received these photos from some of our Brazilian customers! They are a group of lovely BMW enthusiasts with their own private collection of BMW models. :-D On the pictures you can see the uniquely three-wheeler, BMW Isetta, which is really well cared for. It is the father of one of our customers who owns the Isetta. Their collection includes a BMW E36/7 Z3M roadster, a BMW E39 M5, an E36 318I, an E46 M3, an E70 X5M, an M3 F80 and two E36 M3 Evolution (one in Alpine White and one in Cosmos Black). We are kicking this week off with a few shots of an Alpina B10-Biturbo that recently visited us, as the owner needed a few parts. 😍 It is based on a BMW E34 535I, and built into the fastest production sedan in the world at the time. With two watercooled T25 Garett turbos gives the Alpina torque enough to throw you back in the seats. According to Alpina, it manages 0-100 on 5.2 seconds and have a top speed above 290 km/h, making it equal to the Ferrari Testarossa from the same time!
