how do you deal with bad days? I'm feeling down rn and my friends aren't responding to my texts. I don't know what to do

the honest answer to “how do I deal with bad days” is sertraline (50mg)

if that isn’t the sort of advice you’re after - distract yourself. make something, anything, more important to you today. a movie - an album you haven’t listened to all the way through yet. a tv series someone has been recommending to you for ages and you haven’t gotten around to. or - taking yourself out for a cappuccino, in a groovy cafe, or taking yourself out for a tasty treat, or a museum, or a pleasant walk.

the truth is, when I’m having a bad day, and something goes wrong - I say, “I meant to do that. now I can do something even better instead.” - if a friend cancels plans, I say “hm. well, I’m walking past a cinema right now. let’s go in and watch something” - or, “nice. I’m not in a hurry. l’ll take the scenic route.” I usually try and turn a downer situation into an opportunity to do something unexpected that can pick the day up. so put the phone down, and look around you! what could be a fun thing to do today, with your free time?

Do you have any favorite shows or movies besides things that are marvel? I feel like youd be really into Deadpool cross-fandom ships

cross-fandom ships? like harley x deadpool or whatever? that's cute, sure. but DC has their own deadpool. and you know what, i love red tool. i haven't read him or picked a dc book but just look at him. he's just my type.

i don't think i do the deadpool cross-fandom ships. like, he's already got so many people to work with in his own fandom and - like, i don't know, i can't get into a ship if they haven't even interacted once. that's too much legwork for me.

i got deadpool to meet my dnd character, in my drawings, one time. because, obviously, they would get along.

on terms of other favourite shows or movies - i don't know, nothing i've invested into the fandom of, at the moment. i still watch south park and used to draw fanart as a teenager. like. who didn't. nothing gross though, i promise.

i'm really into the disney comics, which feels like a betrayal of my "no money to the mouse" bit, but - in my DEFENSE - they're only bought secondhand. but it got really weird last night. i had such a detailed dream about mickey and minnie mouse's failed marriage. it was intense. but i was super into it.

i don't know. i'm not a huge fandom head. i only have so much space in my brain. i don't understand how people can have loads of fandoms going and alternate between them. nah. that sounds exhausting. i'm just here.
