Cami & Peyton 02
Cami should have know when the thunder started shaking her dorm room it wasn’t a perfect time to head outside. But she had been up til four am the night before with her studies and back awake for her seven am class that instead of heading to lunch all she wanted was coffee.
The storm clouds were so dark as Cami walked through the college court yard it made it look much later in the day then it actually was. The wind picked up and just as Cami was less then five minutes from the coffee shop the sky broke loose and Cami found herself running in the middle of the downpour.
Once inside the coffee shop the cool ac made Cami shiver. “So much for ice coffee.” Cami muttered to herself soaked through and dripping on the floor. She waited a few seconds, trying to dry off a bit until a few other college kids come in as equally soaking wet. It didn’t really matter now if she got the floor wet considering everyone else was.
Cami had never been so thankful for the coffee shop on campus as she was right now. “A large red eye with an extra shot and cream please.” Sure a regular coffee with two shots of espresso in it seemed like a lot but the drink was something Cami felt like the day was incomplete without.

jaxonw:
“They’re still brainstorming a theme for next week. I’m thinking Toga Tuesday, but we did togas last year so…” He taps his pencil against the paper a couple of times before jotting down the answer to problem seventeen. He’s almost done with his work, and a glance out of the corner of his eyes lets him know that Cami almost is, too.
There’s nothing more important than a good party. Well, there’s the whole issue of graduating and being a productive member of society, but aside from that, parties are king. That’s the one thing that Kaicee never agrees with him on. She’s always going on and on about how he needs to focus on his future more and Jax just shrugs at her. The truth is, he already knows his future. CAMS will take him far and his grade point average sits at about a three point eight. The thing is, that’s not anyone’s business but his own. And maybe Kaicee’s, too, but Jaxon doesn’t think about it like that.
“Pure will control.” Jax wipes his mouth off with the back of his hand and lets out a quiet burp that draws him a glare from the table of two girls next to them. Jax gives them a little wave and a wink and he receives a couple of eye rolls in return.
Cami pauses from the worksheet for a minute and tries to think for a seconds. She remembers the toga party, or at least more of it then she is sure most people, but Cami feels this way about most parties. “You could add foam to it. A girl a went to high school with posted about one at her college last week. Could be a fun addition so people won’t care that you did it last year.”
Her pencil finds the paper again and Cami adds in the answer to number sixteen before pausing. She seconds guess herself for a second, glancing over at Jax’s paper and when seeing the answer matches his she moves on. There is no way both of them would have the same wrong answer.
“Or a 90′s party.” Cami doesn’t look up this time when she speaks instead she finishes the last two problems. When Jax burps she looks up in enough time to see the dirty glances and eye rolls from the table over and Cami can’t help but chuckle a bit.

jaxonw:
The busy work is numbing, in a way, and Jax is grateful for it. It makes him only half-notice how bad his drink tastes as he downs the rest of it, and his hangover fades to the back of his mind as he concentrates on the reducible ODE’s laid out before him. Professor Benson never seems to have a problem with group work. He has to know how dull his classes can be and that it’s easier to compare with a friend to make sure you’re both passing. Calculus has never been a problem for Jax, but he’s seen countless students get too far behind to catch up.
“You mean, if I had let you win,” Jax says with a small smirk, puffing out his chest. It’s all bravado, of course. They’re very evenly matched in beer pong with Cami having a slight edge out over him. Jax blames her delicate scientist hands and the fact that he pregames too hard behind a party sometimes. The truth is, Cami’s just as good at visualizing the angles as he is, if not better.
Jax has always been surprised Cami didn’t rush. She may be a scholarship kid like himself - even though not a single soul has seen him arguing with financial aid - but she’s gorgeous in that girl next door sort of way. One of the many sororities on campus would have gladly taken her and her ridiculous beer pong math skills.
Cami rolls her eyes with a smile as she focuses on the problem on the paper in front of her. “Challenge accepted.” It’s not like Cami doesn’t almost always play a match or two against him at the parties but it still seems like she needs to challenge him after a comment like that. She knows most games seem to end in ties unless either one of them has had to much to drink before hand, more often it is Jax.
As much as Cami can’t stand sororities, she can’t help but have noticed many times that a high majority of her male friends are in frats. Cami is also normally never one to miss a frat party unless she just has to much work to do. She stays clear of most sororities events especially if it is one hosted by the one her sister rushed.
There is to much petty drama that Cami just can’t stand and she is far to bubbly to deal with it. Cami flips the page over, the problems are almost identical to ones on a worksheet she had in regular calculus. Just a few numbers changed here and there but mostly the same and Cami finds her self speeding through it and Jax keeping pace even with the hang over. “I still wonder how you keep that drink down,” Cami comments to what she can assume is a now empty cup since it hasn’t been touched in a few minutes.

Peyton grins and leans back in her chair, “she offered me some new pencils, and I’m a girl who likes good drawing pencils, plus I got free beer and the chance to ruin some douchebags life.”
Peyton hopes soon that Jax will hit her up with plans to mess with Wes, she hated his kind of guys, the ones who think they can do whatever they wanted and when they got what they wanted it wasn’t enough. Wes was the example of rich snobs she couldn’t stand, acting like they owned the world. “Apparently I shared a class with the guy, Jaxson, freshmen year. He seems like a nice enough dude, he appreciated my art and you know I like when people do that.”
She crosses her arms and looks around the room, the meeting looks like it’s getting about to start and Peyton sees a few new faces she recognizes, a couple from a few of her classes and most ones she’s seen from her job at the library. “I do have to say, you probably won’t ever catch me at another one.”
Cami lets out another laugh. Still, she tries to picture Peyton at a frat party and the image isn’t showing up in her head. The president of the club stands and everyone slowly starts to quiet down and turn the attention to them. Cami sticks her bottom lip out slightly at Peyton at the comment of never seeing her at another frat party again and leans in to whisper since the president of the club has started to talk.
“Well that just is not fair.” Cami shifts back on her seat and finally gives her attention to what is going on around her now.

“I prefer keeping my skin art and my class art separate, besides I can get an A with plenty of other work.” A smirk grows on her face and Peyton has no doubt about it, she’s never gotten below an A in any of her classes and Peyton knows it will keep going that way for a while.
“I hate to break it to you, but you did.” Peyton wouldn’t have been there if it weren’t for Kelsey. If she was honest she would have rather been anywhere else, but since she went she’s not upset by it, Kelsey finally stopped talking about how great Wes was now that she knows he’s a cheater and player. And now Peyton can finally stop hearing about him.
“I didn’t hit up the party for my own reasons though, a friend needed backup and I was the one she bribed.” She laughs at Cami’s comment and slips her pencil behind her ear, “it ended when my friend found out the guy she wanted had other girls on the side, but I did find a pretty decent guy who wants to help me ruin said players life.”
Cami has no doubt that what Peyton is saying is true. She might know absolutely nothing about art her self but she knows that was Peyton does is beautiful. At least the work she has had the pleasure of seeing which she is sure isn’t much in the grand scheme of things.
The loud and over the top dramatic sigh that came from Cami’s makes her think of her sister and then regret making such an over the top sound. But still. She can’t help but look at Peyton with a look that shows how upset she is she missed it. She has a hard time picturing Peyton and Beer and Brats night, an event Cami has been to many times.
“Well aren’t you a good friend.” Cami smiles again. It is rare she keeps one from her face for more then a few seconds. A laugh escapes her at the mention of being bribe and it all starts to finally makes sense to Cami on why Peyton would be at the party to begin with. “I’m sorry for your friend though.” Cami answers with a comforting look. “At least the party wasn’t a total bust if you found at least one cool person to chat with.”

adriisantos:
Adrianna usually found herself in a miserable mood after the end of a date with Clyffe. She put up with him, because her father thought that long term dating in college built a good image of reliability. And they made a good couple. Or at least, they did in pictures, looking like Prince Charming and Cinderella on every gossip blog and Facebook group.
It was just that whenever he opened his mouth, Adrianna was tempted to punch him.
Already groaning in frustration, Adrianna entered the Zeta house with a frown only to find that her plans for a peaceful bath and a face mask had been hijacked again. She ran into half a dozen sisters complaining about her step-sister’s intrusion in the house, and Adri ran up the stairs to her find her room already crashed.
She shrugged upon finding Camilla in her room, disappearing into her well-stocked closet. “Actually, everything in my closet is freshly laundered, and I don’t know why you would think otherwise.  I need to radiate the scent of Chanel No. 5 at all times, not your questionably sweaty, slept in the library musk.”
She glanced with little interest at the closet before dropping her purse and kicking off her heels. Oh, those jeans. She had forgotten those weren’t hers. Adri shrugged again. “I can’t help it if everything just looks better on me than it does on you.”
Cami is pretty sure that her sister must have heard from someone downstairs that she is here from how fast she came into the room. She should have know. The ‘sisters’ in the sorority always seemed to hate it that Cami walks in like she owns the place or is welcome there. She doesn’t care though. Cami is pretty sure all it would take it telling one of them they have a zit starting to show for them to have a mental break down that they would never recover from.
Her nose scrunches up in instant distaste. “That is the horrible smell on them. I’ll just make sure to rewash them then.” She might have only had a few years with out being a big sister, most of which she doesn’t even have memories from, but Cami is pretty sure those were the most peaceful years of her life.
“Oh so looking like a dwarf in over size clothing is the new trend?” Cami finally notices the ends of them fraying now from them being to long on Adri and she drops them on the floor. Pointless to take them now after she has ruined them. Instead she focuses back on the closest grabbing another two shirts before starting to head to her sisters dresser.
“At least I know you didn’t take any of my shoes since you won’t be caught in anything under a three inch heel. Be careful sis, people might learn you are over compensating.”

peytonlewisrp:
Peyton shrugs and turns away at the compliment, spinning her pencil with her fingers, “it also helps that you aren’t a bore like Professor Clark is, the man would put anyone asleep.”
The room starts to fill up so Peyton closes her drawing pad and slips it back into her bag, smirking at Cami’s compliment, “I’ve been working on it since my arm was finished, it actually started off as abstract lines but once I got going on it it became more, I was considering turning it in for my project next week but I want it on my body instead.” She chuckles lightly and leans on the table.
The meeting is about to start but Peyton knows it’ll be a few more minutes, their always more casual at the start waiting to see if a few late comers arrive, Peyton sees a few new faces finding seats and she’s glad those around her are taken, sometimes new people can be too chatty for her, and most regulars know she’s not that big on making new friends.
“Did you go to that party last night, the frat one?” She was actually surprised to not see Cami there, though it would have been a surprise if anyone she knew had seen her there. Despite the fact that she had to avoid certain people it wasn’t as terrible as Peyton had originally thought it would be.
Cami wants to argue. But she knows the comment is true. She remembers her Intro to Biology class freshmen year and how if she hadn’t had a love for Biology then she would have wanted to jump out the forth floor window at the mans voice. She is still pretty sure that he must voice any and all monotone phone recordings as a side job.
Cami wishes to grab the sketch book from Peyton and just flip through the pages of it but she feels that would not be a good idea and the book is away before she even finishes the thought about it. “Why not do both? Get another A, have a great tattoo planned out.” Cami held her hands out like they are scales going up and down with the options.
A frown forms on her face again as Peyton mentions the party. “Please do not tell me I missed seeing you at a frat party?” Cami sounds completely disappointed in the missed chance. Even if the most she ever does is just smile at Peyton across the room at other parties. “I am for once disappointed in myself for getting carried away with a paper. Sounds like it was an interesting night.”
Cami sits up straight in her chair before pulling her legs up and crossing them in the chair. It might look uncomfortable to most but Cami finds herself sitting like this a lot. A quick look around the room and Cami can pick out the new faces. She makes a note to try to say hi to them before they leave the room.

jaxonw:
Jaxon is grateful for any kind of solid food. He could make a crack about Cami being the mom friend, always with the big bag full of helpful things and a personality that screams ‘let me nurture you’. But she’s being helpful and nice, and he’s a little too hungover to think up any good jokes. Instead he grabs a big handful of gold fish and chews nosily until they’re gone. Once he’s good and thirsty it makes it easier to chug back the chunky mixture in his thermos. He’s actually starting to feel better. Not better enough to take off his shades and deal with the light, but less like he’s about to fall out any minute. It’s probably the whisky in the drink mix that’s helping, but Jax isn’t about to complain.
Benson finishes up the lecture and Jax lets out a sigh of relief as worksheets start coming out. Advanced Calculus is just more of the same, trying to simplify complicated equations into more efficient and streamlined processes. He had already read the material they’re going over three weeks ago, and the front and back worksheet and study guide they get will make a nice refresher.
“Want to compare answers at the end?” He asks, not expecting Cami to do any of the work for him. He enjoys the busy work, not that he’d say that out loud, because math has just always made the most sense, even when Jax was just a little kid doing his multiplication tables. Once Cami gets started in Jax relaxes a little, sober enough for some casual conversation.
“I kicked ass at beer pong last night. No good contenders around,” he says with a wink.
Cami munches on the gold fish as the lecture finishes up but makes sure to leave enough for Jax to actually have something in his stomach other then raw eggs and left over booze from last night. Plus it’s not like she doesn’t have two granola bars also in her bag if she was actually hungry and not just munching because they were there.
When the lecture finishes Cami closes the computer and makes room in front of her for the work sheet going around. It’s almost the exact same work as what she did in regular calculus in under grad and she is disappointed once again in not learning new material yet.
“Of course.” Cami knows well enough the Jax would never need to actually cheat off her even with the worse hangover imaginable. She has to admit the first time she saw he got better on a test then her she was a bit shocked, even pretty sure he had cheated. But she knew better now and was glad she never tried to call him out of would have been proved so very wrong.
Cami lets out a sigh, sad at missing the events of the night before. “Kicking your butt at beer pong would have been so much fun too.” She sticks her tongue out of the side of her mouth at him slightly with out turning in his direction. Even if most of her attention is now on their conversation and not the work sheet which is far to simple to her, she still keep her body forward as to not show her lack of attention to the class.

Cami & Adri 01
Cami didn’t even knock on the door of zeta tau alpha as she barges in and up the stairs. She can feel the dirty looks she gets from some of the girls but Cami keeps moving. In fact most of them should be use to this type of behavior from her. It happens at least twice a month, Cami forcing her way in and to Adri’s room to claim back what is rightfully hers.
It’s been going on for as long as Cami can remember. She has no clue why it still bothers her so much since she should be well use to Adri taking her stuff and never returning it. But it still gets under her skin and she is pretty sure that is the main reason Adri still does it.
Cami debates putting green hair dye in her sisters shampoo as pay back but knows it would just start a war and she doesn’t have the heart to do it even if it wouldn’t. Instead she just slings open the girls closet when she is finally in her room and starts looking through the clothing.
She has a shirt and a jacket she reclaims before she hears foot steps coming into the room behind her. “If you are going to keep stealing my stuff can you at least make sure it is washed before I come take it back?”
Cami doesn’t even ask her to return it on her own after wearing it, she knows that will never happen. An annoyed grumble escapes her as Cami snatches a pair of jeans of the hanger and whips around.
“I have been missing these for two months you brat. They don’t even fit your short ass why would you even take them?” The annoyance is clear in Cami’s words and she waits for an answer before she turns back to the closet to retrieve more of her clothing.

peytonlewisrp:
Peyton wasn’t too surprised when Cami latched onto her after she saw the grade, she’d been kind of expecting it from the other girl but she was relieved when she pulled away. Peyton didn’t mind physical contact with people she was more comfortable around but she didn’t like it all the time, and she sometimes had a hard time accepting it for long periods.
Peyton shrugged and gave her a grin, “well I had a pretty good tutor.”
She had really needed the help, she was close to getting grades she felt were beneath her, and an almost failing grade wasn’t something that would look good. She might have been an art student but she wasn’t about to fail a science class, and it was a decent trade too, she helped Cami with History and she got help in Science, for Peyton it was a win win situation.
But getting the grade on the exam made Peyton all the more grateful for Cami’s help, the grade really made her feel better about the class and she couldn’t help but like the fact that the Professor no long seemed disappointed in her progress, plus it was nice to see that she’d gotten a better grade than the girl who sat in the front and always seemed to have a bug up her ass.
“Thanks for all the help, I’d be so fucked if you hadn’t helped me out.” She takes the paper back and slips it into her bag, slipping it into her bag and pulling her pad back out and opening it up to let Cami see, she’d felt the girl looking over her shoulder and thought it was the least she could do and let her see the piece. “I’m thinking of getting it on my back.”
Cami settled in her seat still grinning far to much. She doesn’t know what level of actual friends her and Peyton are. They don’t exactly hang out much outside of their tutor sessions or GSA but at least Peyton says hi at parties and around campus when they see each other and she only looks slightly bored when Cami walks up to her randomly and starts talking like they have been in a conversation the whole time.
And Cami is pretty sure what what she has noticed about Peyton that it means they are pretty close. Cami can’t help but flip her hair and smile like she is queen of the world. “Yeah I am pretty awesome.” The words are suppose to sound more obnoxious but Cami is laughing to much for it to happen. “But for real, I knew you could do it. You just needed the push.”
The tutoring deal they had worked out wonderful for Cami. After failing a history class once and having to retake it she refused to let it happen again. While she was glad she wasn’t going to need a history class for her major after this semester she hoped that didn’t mean less time spent around Peyton.
“Back at you. I would still be an undergrad right now if you didn’t help me pass history last semester.” Cami’s eyes go instantly to the art work. It’s beautiful, as all of Peyton’s art is that Cami has seen. Her eyes move from the drawling to the girls arm covered in tattoos. Cami herself found herself always to scared of the idea to get one but she admired all of Peyton’s.
“It looks amazing. What made you think of it?”

jaxonw:
Whether he consciously or unconsciously chose to sit next to Cami, Jaxon’s just thanking the stars on the placement. She won’t rat him out or give him too much crap when he shows up for class like he is now. The shirt he’s wearing is old, probably from high school and a little too tight on his chest. His joggers are as unwashed as his hair is, even if he does have one of his favorite Carolina Panthers snapback on. To top it all off is a pair of those cheap plastic sunglasses with purple extenders on it, blocking out the awful school lightning for the most part
“Ugh,” Jax says with a wrinkle of his notes. He hates writing papers, especially ones as punishment. It’s a perk of being a math major with a practical science minor; the only papers that Jaxon has to write are purely scientific in nature with no room for prose or opinions. He adjusts himself in his chair, trying to become a little less comfortable so that he doesn’t actually fall asleep. Again.
“I can’t tell if I’m drunk or hungover,” he mutters. The answer is both, probably. Instead of saying that he takes a large gulp of his homemade hangover mug and sighs at the awful taste. He could really go for some diner food, or a cheap burger right about now. Would Professor Benson notice if he just left the room?
“Didn’t see you at Beers and Brats last night. Are our keggers too lame for you now that you’re a fancy graduate student?”
There is a small shake of Cami’s head as she is still smiling at the whole situation. Sure, she for one agrees that the class is boring, but not boring enough to fall asleep. Then again she isn’t hungover so that might be the big difference in the two of them at this moment. Instead Cami flips the page in her note book and keeps writing with her eyes forward.
She does keep slightly looking at Jax out of the corner of her vision though. Even if she didn’t know he one glace gave off the total frat boy vibe. She wondered how he would react if she reached out and took his sunglasses away? But she wouldn’t. That would be a level of mean Cami had no clue how to even try to do. It seems to obvious that those sunglasses keeping the light from him might be the only thing that stopped him from throwing up right now.
Instead she reaches into her bag and pulls out the zip lock of gold fish she put in there before she left her dorm this morning. Not exactly the most common hang over food, not exactly anyone hang over food at all period, but she still sat them in the middle of the table, opened the bag and grabbed a few before facing it in Jax’s direction.
“Both.” Cami answers with another smile. She sees the face he makes from the corner of her eye as he takes another drink. She has seen Jax drink it before, even asked him what it was the first time she noticed it. Still, Cami makes a face at the idea of drinking raw eggs and wonders how that doesn’t make him feel more sick.
Cami actually makes a noise when she tries to hold in her laugh this time. Professor Benson’s eyes are on her and Cami instantly looks disappointed in her self so he doesn’t have to. It gets his attention off her though but Cami still waits a bit before speaking again in a lower whisper this time. “I was at the one last week don’t even try that.” Cami changes the slide on her computer as the professor does. “I had a paper due and got a little.. a lot carried away.”
