I’m in a similar situation as you. I sort of keep up with Dan and Phil/the phandom but it really upset me that Dan just disappeared for two years. It made sense why he did it once he came out, but then he just disappeared again, and now he’s coming back and selling a mental health book when he has no qualifications or credentials to do that? It doesn’t sit right with me at all. I still watch Phil’s content from time to time and I’m really happy for them, they seem happy together and that’s all I ever wanted for them, but I don’t think I can be a fan of Dan anymore.

yeah i feel the same :( i don’t vibe with phil’s content anymore and i don’t rly enjoy what dan is doing these days but knowing they are in love and happy together... that’s all i’ve ever wanted ever since i started watching them so i feel... at peace. i’m no longer dnp’s target demographic and i’m okay with that

kinda? maybe? tbh i was already moving on around the ii era and going to my show and meeting them was kinda like... a nice thing to end on? i hung around for a few months after bc literally all my online friends r phannies. i was happy (albeit semi-active?) when they came out... but after that, and getting absolutely no content after such a Big thing happened.... it just felt right for me to leave because i gained excitement from other things. i just.... grew out of dnp :(

Genuine question: why do you hate dan and phil and their fans so much? Can’t you just let it go and move on if you no longer wanna be here? Like interests change I get it, but you’re being unnecessarily bitter

i actually don’t hate dan and phil!! and i have moved on! i’m in completely different fandoms now but since my online social circle is still 90% from the phandom, i keep up with phannie drama and what dnp r doing. 

i was very critical with dnp a few months back (scroll down a lil bit if you wanna see that discourse) but i don’t hate dnp? yeah i find their current content boring and not personally appealing, and yeah i do have criticisms (that i had while i stanned them btw! i was never a fan of how little content phannies got when paying dnp directly i.e youtube membership) but i don’t hate them! i do hate the current phandom, especially on twitter but that’s just because it’s full of 14 year old social justice warriors who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about.

also i rly don’t care about this blog anymore so i may as well reply snarky to anons when they’re being rude at me (like the previous ask).
