At the beginning, there was only fire. And in the end, it would be fire.

A young Kaldorei woman sits on a stump within the small encampment, the banner of Tyrande’s sentinels flutters above the tents. The woman touches the half moon dangling from the chain from her neck a gift from a mentor now lost to the rebellion against the Empire.

At the woman’s feet lay several newly carved shafts of iron wood, though as the newest, she was fletching for the entire squad though at the moment…these arrows were hers alone. All along the dark wood were carved the phases of Elune, the smell of fletching glue clinging to them as black feathers dried, setting into place, fresh arrowheads gleaming in the light. Bodkin for Armor. Barbed for the unarmored spell casters. Screamers for both the effect and signalling

Long ears twitched. The sound of a screamer, high in the air caught her attention and in s moment she was up, bow smoothly slung with practice…eyes widening as she behold the camps attackers.

Not a simple, lucky imperial patrol, but what looked to her untrained eyes to be an entire Army! Arrows were loosed, Commands shouted, archers like herself melting into the shadows, only for those shadows to flee as ancient wood was set ablaze.

Arrows gave way, string of her bow was cut. Reinforced ironwood springing into the shape of a staff, blades on either end glistening wetly in fire light that fought the Archers attempts to hide. Soon to glisten with blood as enemies that feared her arrows, rushed into melee only to find a quick blade awaiting them.

Ash swirled under foot. Arm slung over ..someone’s nightsaber. The animal in mourning probably would have killed her in it’s grief, and yet the Kaldorei was good with animals. Good enough that both escaped the flames together, trudging along with other survivors, leaving the attackers…and their own dead, prayers to elune sung as they walked. For forgiveness. For Vengeance.

A now older Kaldorei woman sits outside of a brothel, the Lace Lounge standing proudly in the moonlight. Old prayers of forgiveness sung as a worn moonsilver necklace hung from her neck as deft hands began to fletch arrows among the ghosts of her past, a nightsaber watching from the shadows.
