new chapters have had me itching to animate and while watching my friend Nox’s playthrough of chapter 4 I knew i had to do something

it’s possible i’ll come back to this and fully finish it but as of right now i’m gonna leave it as is for at least a few days lol

There's a phenomenon I've noticed in fandom I'm going to call "Canon is mean to my blorbo" wherein fans of ongoing or serial media become really attached to one or a group of characters and build up in their minds an idea of how their story is going to go, but when the story doesn't end up going in that direction, regardless of how well the direction it actually takes was built up along the way, these fans will insist it was done out of malice or disregard towards their faves, rather than simply being a logical continuation or addition to the story that simply wasn't how they would have liked it to go.

Deltarune Chapter 4 spoiler, kinda I'm vague, with Digital Circus mention

I've been feeling a little bad that I found Chapter 4's end a little funny, while people having been talking about how it made them uncomfortable (I can relate to people being loud keeping someone from sleeping, but I still thought it was kind of funny because of sans)

Meanwhile, the opposite has been happening with Digital Circus lol

I don't think Jax being uncomfortable in a maid dress is all that funny, but the opinion I've been seeing the most is that people think it's hilarious....

Remembering the time I was asked to remove 'intersex' from my discord bio by the mods of a furry discord server because "this is a sfw space and that includes bios too" and I got so fucking mad I chewed out one of the mods and was promptly banned for "being rude and disrespecting the mods"., As if my personhood as an intersex man hadn't just been reduced to a fucking fetish porn trope and deemed too inappropriate for teenagers to see in my bio.

to be fucking honest. i'm starting to view it as a big red flag when queer people don't have the media literacy to tell when a character is making fun of trans women. i'm sorry that man in a dress crossdresser joke is not queer rep it in fact thinks trans women are laughing stocks
