samyr hated feeling like he wasn’t in control of things, especially himself. he hated experiencing emotions that were foreign to him or made him feel uncomfortable. like being nervous, embarrassed or shy. he had never been a person who embodied those three characteristics. it wasn’t until recently when he started dealing with.. boys, that he started experiencing those feelings, and he could assuredly say that he hated it. is that why people say they hate men all the time? because they made them feel this way? it was finally starting to make sense. especially when he ran into noel at some high profile party he hadn’t been planning on attending, and now wished that he had followed his first instincts of staying home. “..hey.” he nodded at him, before looking away, his hand bringing his glass of champagne up to his lips so he could down the whole flute. he’d need it, that was for sure. 𝝬 — @ofcnoel​

“you know what would be good right now?” samyr asked, resting his hand on adore’s shoulder as they meandered down the sidewalk. the older musician was, of course, already high as a kite, had been for the majority of the day before he met up with adore. it wasn’t uncommon for him to be under the influence of marijuana at any given time, something that most of his friends had accepted by then. hell, it was something that most of his friends indulged in just as much as he did. “some tacos, man. you know where we can get some tacos at around here?” 𝝬 — @adorefm​

        jack had intended for his point to be that he wouldn’t be himself if he cared about how others see him, but he couldn’t tell whether or not he had communicated it clearly enough from merely looking at samyr. jack watched his best friend inhale several long drags off of the joint, feeling torn as he didn’t want to pry, but as his concern heightened he grew more and more impatient. when samyr finally said it…jack’s mouth fell open. “oh.” he lifted a hand and scratched his head. “…well, that doesn’t change how i see you,” he offered, distractedly reaching over to take the joint. “you’re still my best friend.” jack leaned back in his chair, but after a few minutes his gaze flickered towards samyr, watching him gaze up at the night sky. “does it change how you see yourself?” 

he wasn’t sure what he was expecting jack’s answer to be, but he should have known it wasn’t going to be anything negative or malicious. that just wasn’t how his best friend was. he didn’t think jack had a negative bone in his body - at least not when it came to stuff like this. accepting people, being tolerant. he didn’t know what he did to deserve to have such a great best friend, but he was grateful. “i better be,” he grumbled, but smiled slightly nonetheless, his words of reassurance doing a lot to comfort him. his smile waned slightly at his question and he sighed. “i guess.. yeah, yeah it does. i don’t want it to, but.. it’s kind of hard for it not to. if i.. if i am gay, then everything changes. everyone’s going to look at me different.. my family’s going to look at me different.”
