Goku couldn't help but grin in excitement as he stared down his rival. There they were once again, in that familiar barren wasteland where they had first fought so many years ago. Back then it was life or death, but now their fight was on much friendly terms-- though make no mistake, neither Saiyan intended on losing so easily.

"Couldn't have said it better m'self, Vegeta," Goku chimed, adopting his familiar battle stance, looking up to the prince upon his perch. "Let's see how far we've come since last time. Y'ready~?"

     Ah the epitome of the mortal’s anguish and folly, no greater joy was held than when he stood across from his original. The joy that spread throughout his body was nothing short of perfection.

          “I can go wherever I desire but luckily I have no issue with you this day Son Goku.”

     Though a snicker creeps upon visage as the welp speaks of the endgame. How little how he truly knew about the world at large, yet it made sense with the other’s tiny brain cell that only sought selfish desires.

     Still, his fingers crack into balled fists. It was true he had no evil intentions towards this copy, yet, but the thrill fo fighting him once more wrought so much joy within! Now, as he’s perfected and enhanced his combat style, the true strength that this body can attain will be brought into light.

          “But there’s no harm in playing with you a bit before I continue my NEW plan.”

   If this fool thought he would be clashing with the same man this would be a true display of the truth.

      “New plan...?”

His voice echoes the skewed one that originally spoke the words, wondering what the fallen kai was concocting now. 

Black was, essentially, a carbon copy of himself; the desire to fight and become stronger that inherently plagued a saiyan’s mindset had tainted the kai’s own, becoming apart of Zamasu’s own being. Goku wondered silently just what was making Black so confident this time around...

     “Y’er not goin’ anywhere ‘till y’ah tell me this plan of yours-- I don’t trust y’ah to just wander freely, not after all you’ve done...”

Though he loathed Black, the saiyan blood within Goku ignited again-- his excitement and passion for a fight couldn’t possibly allow such an opportunity to pass. Goku adopted a smirk of his own, once more creating the mirror image the two shared.

     “--An’ just to let y’ah know, I’m not anything like before. Y’ah might not like what y’ah get yourself into...”

     “I knew I sensed somethin’ rotten-- What’re you doin’ back here, Black?”

Staring at the mirror image of himself, Goku never enjoyed the seething anger that Black’s presence brought to him. The mere fact of knowing that this copycat used his likeness to kill his friends and family in cold blood-- it sickened the saiyan to no end. 

Of course, the outcome of this meeting would likely only end one way; in fisticuffs. Goku had already become tense, prepared to lash out at a moment’s notice if need-be. 

     “Y’er Zero-Moral plan ain’t gonna happen, no matter how many times y’ah come back. I’ll put y’ah down every single time if I gotta.”

            --Not the mere prideful saiyan banter; Goku’s words dripped with an intent few could ever claim to hear.

The dead quiet of night always served to soothe the saiyan, whether it be for nightly training, or a moment of peace and clarity. Though the sky he looked up at was entirely different than the one he was familiar with, this one still seemed just as starry and vast.

Universe-hopping, at the request of Whis, never failed to take him to interesting places. This one, however, had felt vastly different the moment he arrived. It was hard to place.

     “You can come out now-- I know y’er there.”

His head turns to face the opening of a pitch-black alleyway; the naked eye would never see the figure skulking in the shadows, but their energy was impossible to simply ignore. Hopefully calling the unknown person out would prevent any kind of escalation, but Goku was never one to turn down a brawl, and he certainly wouldn’t mind seeing the powers this world held.

     “C’mon, y’ah can’t hide there forever.” Goku half-taunted, cracking a grin as he waited for them to surface.
