"I'm thinking the same thing. I could practically kill for a burger right about now." Which she 100% blamed on Daniel, before this conversation she hadn't even been thinking about lunch. "Hmm, let's see . . ." She dramatically pressed her two fingers into her temple, feigning concentration as she squinted at the man before she let out a shocked gasp. "Danny, really? Here? You need to control those thoughts, that mind of yours . . ." She clicked in her tongue in mock disproval before smirking. "Well excuse me if I learned the hard way that ice cream doesn't taste as sweet when you get told after your first bite that your pet squirrel of two weeks was caught by the neighbor's cat." Luna huffed, before snorting in laughter despite herself. "If both were bad news, then it wouldn't matter would it Socrates?" The woman teased, fingers continuously tying the small pouches.

Eyes sparkled mischievously at his remark as she tilted her head, sizing up his arms. "Oh? Is that a threat or a promise? And yes I am the dainty queen, thank you. Four years running, don't forget to vote for me this autumn." She mused, hand on hip as she flipped her hair over her shoulder. She reached below the counter and appeared with a jar of various ribbons for Daniel to pick from, to match the venue. But before she could ask her question, a laugh escaped her at his response to her suggestion. "Well Danny, it sounds like I need to buy you a mirror or two if you think I'm out of your league. There's a reason that groom thinks you're trying to steal his bride, and its not just that magical charm of yours." Luna just hoped he didn't notice the blush that threatened to tint her cheeks at the compliment from him.

She fumbled the spool of ribbon she'd been taking out of the jar at Danny's words. "Wait really?" She couldn't tell if he was pulling her leg or serious. But she assumed he wouldn't screw with her to that degree. Luna collected herself and nodded. "You've got yourself a deal." Before she pushed the large jar closer to Danny. "Okay, tell me if any of these ribbons match the theme of the wedding. Or if you want me to just use a basic twine."

"I feel like if we don't end up going to a burger joint now then it would be a missed opportunity." Danny laughed, with all the talk about burgers, there was a craving. "Oh, are you a mind reader now? What else am I thinking? Should I write that down as a the new thing that has developed?" Sometimes it was way too much fun to mess around with Luna. To be fair if he had gotten stuck with a boring charge he'd have sabotaged this long ago or asked for a transfer. "You're seriously the only person I've ever met who prefers bad news first. Now, answer me this. What if both were bad news then which one would you want first?" The smirk didn't go unnoticed though Danny didn't comment on it. "I know you. You'd totally let this go to your head. Thinking you're that special." Luna was special but it went beyond what she was.

Danny narrowed his eyes and laughed a little watching her grand gesture. "Oh right. Okay, my bad. You're the dainty queen. I could so easily lift you over my head you know." His eyes had looked at her and had surmised that indeed he could. He was about to hit her with a sarcastic comment but she had beat him to it. That had him think about it and now could see what he could say to the groom to have him back off. "No, but that's a great idea. I'm stealing it now." In an overexaggerated way he turned and hummed. "You wouldn't be that bad as arm candy. Not that people would believe it. You're way out of my league anyway."

"You're so dramatic," he laughed. " I'll tell you what, if you win in changing my mind about oregano then I'll take you to the bridge." Something he knew she had thought of, he didn't make a habit of looking into her mind but sometimes he caught certain things and this was one of them. The idea she brought forth made him nod in approval. "I'm going to pretend I know what you just said and say sold. Let's do that."

truly, luna should probably be more intimidated by the towering man than she currently was. anyone else would be, and with the sun slowly but surely setting behind the horizon that should add to the fear. and yet, luna found herself curious about what exactly the other was doing in the forest. it wasn’t often she came across anyone else while on this route, so to say she was intrigued would be an understatement.

hazel eyes sized him up at his question, another smirk tugging at her lips. “you very well could be. i’ve often heard it’s the men you meet in the woods that you should be careful of.” luna joked, tone a touch mischievous given the way they were meeting. "though at first glance i would have to say no, i don't believe you to be one of the dangerous ones." whether or not his reassurance held any weight was another story entirely. she lifted her basket at the question, lifting the cloth covering to reveal the contents. "apple tarts and a few sweet cakes, my aunt makes the best around in my opinion. would you like one?"

at first, he assumes her to be a skittish little thing, like a lone doe that had wandered just a touch too far from its herd. had he been in the form of the wolf now, it would have found her to be ample prey. there was nothing the wolf loved more than the scent of fear. but her comment, paired with the smirk of her pretty lips, tells gregor otherwise: she's more fearless than she looks.

" do i look dangerous to you? you can be honest. " he answers her question with a question of his own, a kind smile resting on his disheveled features as he tilts his head to the side and looks her over. he hopes not, but then again, he too would be wary of anyone wandering alone in these woods. so, he is quick to reassure. " but no, i am not. " not in this form, anyway. but he does not say that part aloud. instead, he opts to change the topic of conversation elsewhere. " tell me, red— if i may be nosey —what is it that you carry with you? its scent is delightful. "
