Travelled to Poland to shoot with the talented #AndrzejFrankowski. A well known boudoir photographer from Poland. Even though our communication was entirely in Polish (I don’t speak Polish) the light shined through and we shot! One of the most sacred places on the East Coast of Australia. To the Budjalung people (the Aboriginal people of this area). These waters would be used as a place of healing, cleansing and transformation. It’s beautiful that the few that know of this place, know not to speak of it and understand the importance of keeping its sacredness in tact. Being raised by a father with strong ties to our Aboriginal ancestry, I have a deep respect for this almost forgotten culture and its beliefs. I shoot 99% of the time with a 35mm 1.4 Sigma art. Arguably the most spoken about lens over the past 5 years. Although once every blue moon when the stars are all aligned and my Sigma 35mm is in the repair shop because I can’t look after my shit, the Tamron 70-200 2.8 peeps his little head out to say g’day. Yes, you can produce stunning images with these focal lengths but it’s a very classic perspective, one which has slowly seen its popularity shadowed by a new breed of photographer and their adaption to wider angles. Honestly, this lens, this perspective, it’s never been my style nevertheless many of my clients still say they prefer my work when I use this lens. Each their own but for me I’ll stick with the 35mm as my go to lens, it just feels more me 😊 #poland🇵🇱 #tamron70200 (at Warsaw, Poland)
