Monthly REELness June 2018 NEW PROJECT, new video Reel every month. I have been thinking about this project for a little bit now but it's been hard to commit. 1) To keep this going I need to make sure I shoot several projects a month that I am excited about. I’ve found in the past if I am not working I don’t go out and shoot nearly as much as I should. But that's got to change because shooting with my camera gets me stoked, so cheers to more shooting. 2) I haven’t updated my Reel since 2013 which isn’t great. A lot of my work doesn’t come from my Reel but sometimes it does and while I still enjoy my old Reel it's not smart not updating it. However, updating a Reel has always been an annoyance to me. I like shooting different projects and a lot of them are small so I take a lot of pride in just having a well organized bank of my work rather than always adjusting my Reel. (www.scottbarberfilm.com) But cheers to changing that up. 3) I’m all over the place with my shooting. I know some people focus on one thing, I am definitely passionate about certain things but honestly if the people are rad/talented, and the set is beautiful I’m going to have a good time shooting and tell the story. Social media does a good job keeping people informed with what I am up to but sometimes it doesn’t show everything. I want to be accessible to everyone that needs a filmmaker and I want my Reel to show that. So cheers to a wide array of work all the time and in your face. Cheers to Monthly Reelness. Shooting a music festival can be pretty wild especially with a small crew. Bands, activities, sponsors, atmosphere, etc.. Not to mention it all happens pretty much 24/7. This year our crew pulled it off really well. Video deliverables were flying out all day everyday to please our attendee, inspire those that couldn’t join us as well as make our partners proud to work with @frendlygathering.
