A must-see for anyone visiting the Red River Gorge. At just under a mile, one can choose to view the fantastic wonder from either above or below the arch, or both. It's an easy hike, and the views are stunning. Although taken in December, I'm always amazed at how much green is present. The River Gorge is one of the most unique places I've ever visited. A hike in the gorge encapsulates its visitor in the beauty of nature while providing extraordinary mind-healing therapy. Moreover, exploring this vast and majestic countryside is truly a journey through time itself. The gorge offers adventure seekers, rock climbers, hikers, and photographers boundless opportunities. Indeed, the Red River Gorge is a rare and unique place! I always stop in when I'm in the area.

A beautifully illuminated morning light cast over Engineer Pond at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Oklahoma. From its breathtaking vistas to ubiquitous wildlife, the refuge is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. This image was taken along the three-mile-long paved road leading to the summit of Mount Scott. The entire journey to the summit offers breathtaking views of southwest Oklahoma.
