“Christmas cookies? Since when do you bake?”

“Mostly my dads do the baking and I eat raw cookie dough.”

“I told him that I didn’t have an answer as to why and we were just there in silence for a while until finally dad asked if there was anything they could do to help.”

“So what are they going to do?”

“Pop wasn’t really sure what to say for a long while and then he asked why. Which, obviously I don’t have an answer to.”

“And then?”

“Yeah, I did. Like I said, we had a long conversation about it.”

“So what did they say?”

“The…about my condition.”

“You told them you’re doing better though, right? That you’re eating better. I mean, it’s not perfect, but it’s progress and that matters.”

“At the very least your dads would have the comparison to make and feel a bit better about you... seriously though, what all did you guys talk about?”

“Don’t know babe. The list goes on and on. I sort of debated calling you and asking you to come over.”

“You should have, I’d have come over.”

“Honestly, how did you even know where to start the list?”

“Welp, dad finally told pop about my going to therapy which led to this little family meeting where we gathered around and asked what’s wrong with Cris. Hint: it’s a lot. A lot is wrong with Cris.”
