SKYBLR I HAVE A THOUGHT AND FOR SOME REASON I RLLY WANNA POST IT.

so theres a lot of talk of when flight takes place, and I hear a lot of “its present day” while I feel like I and a couple others interpret of it as a sorta back in time thing? or a different weird time. bc personally it all being present day does not sit right with me frankly

and so I theorize; it could be both at the same time? our actions have impacts on the present windpaths but we may be jumping into a timeframe that is not our own, or something super weird like that

because- we meditate before each quest.

meditation is often associated with things going weird sometimes, entering spaces beyond ours and most likely, times beyond ours too? like yes we meditate before the races but do we not hear cheering from souls that arent there? we meditate before the trials and enter a space we do not know how real it is, we meditate at the final skater quest where we seem to explicitly enter a different timeframe of an area, we meditate between every level of vault, entering a deeper state of dreams to the point where we can meet with all the elders at once, the elder cutscenes itself are canonically in a very weird space, that we know impacts our present, and we meditate before them

the lines between whats present and what may be past stuff has felt blurry for me with this season. and so i think were able to enter a space that isn’t exactly our time, and moreso the spirits whos timeframe they know best is the time they died around, before and during the storm, but this time were here to help

i dont think its like, a changing history thing, that’d be too weird, were definitely not pulling a butterfly effect; But were in a space that isnt 100% now I think

YOU GET ME? BC I JUST, LEAKING DARKNESS (as put by the community poll) DOESNT SIT RIGHT WITH ME…

the only way it does kinda, is if the seasons do have a chronological order to be done, with flight before enchantment but then that feels incorrect with skys open endedness? bc while theres a timeframe for seasons happening in the past to be figured out, reliving them there isnt an order, as well it just doesnt vibe with me with the location of the tunnel too. So I feel more confident saying its representative of the same storm that took ark down, rather than anything to do with the enchantment and darkness in that area

i just think its cooler too frankly

the only flight and enchantment beef allowed is how the forgotten ark got reset to the first form during flight beta bc of a bug

ALSO YES I AM HANDWAVING THINGS AWAY AGAIN LIKE I DO EVERYTHING VAULT WITH “Medi weird”

as a side note, wasteland representing adulthood, impacting a season in forest, aka teenage years, hits a certain way, thats the time we feel such a great amount of pressure from parental figures and people in authority, where adulthood feels so fast upcoming and the problems of our parents are getting more and more placed unto us, and how some of us may have to grow up too fast to fit a role, its a time of turmoil, sometimes rebellion and grief and often just. Bad feelings; Nothing to do with the theory, just an addition, since I quite enjoy thinking abt the stages of life and realm connection
