Ominis: Tonight, one of you will betray me

MC: *gasp* Is it me Ominis?

Ominis: No dear, it’s not you

Anne: Is it me?

Ominis: No my love, not you

Sebastian: *scratching the back of his neck sheepishly* Um…is it me Ominis?

Ominis: *mockingly* iS iT mE oMiNiS?!

DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE

It was warm for ONE day, and I got big summer feels.

How I imagine a day at the creek with the lads would go. Kinda random, just 15 year-olds being 15 year-olds.

Garreth, who found the place: *leading them through the muddy creek, mapping out the easiest way to navigate it*

Ominis: *wading delicately along the shallow waters of the soft, sandy shoreline* “I do not want to feel any creatures in here.”

Sebastian: *balancing over wet rocks, grinning* “oOh, Imagine, a fish sliding past your ankle.”

MC: “StooOp.” *whining, holding their trousers up to their knees as they wade through a deeper part of the creek*

Garreth: “I doubt it. We’ve probably scared them all off.” *his voice is distant as he rounds a bend* “Watch these stones over here, they’re slippery.”

Sebastian: *finding a thick, fallen tree branch resting over the cliff of the bend and clambering up the ravine to sit on it*

MC: *chuckling, shaking their head*

Sebastian: *testing his weight on the branch and daring to scoot further up the bark as it creaks beneath him*

Ominis: *with his affectionate scolding* “If you fall, don’t ask me to carry you to the hospital wing.”

MC and Ominis lounging in a sunlit clearing, waiting for Sebastian and Garreth who are still in the wooded part of the creek*

Garreth and Sebastian: *laughing loudly, splashes coming from the shade* “NO- oh god it’s cold!”

Sebastian: *emerging first, running as best he can through the shallow water and into the sunlight*

Garreth: *dripping wet, shaking the water from his hair, laughing*

Sebastian: “It’s not so bad ov-“ *slips and drops into the water*

MC: *gasps, then laughs as Sebastian emerges from the pool*

Sebastian: *panting, wiping water from his face* “It is DEEP over here, Weasley!”

Garreth: *laughing at him and trudging up the bank where it’s safe, running his hands through his red curls, shining golden in the sunlight*

*after a collective swim*

Ominis: *disgusted at the seaweed that caught his ankle, brushing it off in a hurry*

They drift over to the shore then climb onto the river bed, brushing wet hair out of their faces and squeezing water out of their clothes.

Leaving some garments out to dry, stretching out under the sun to soak up what warmth they can, humming in relaxation, the melodic bubbling of the creek and the twittering of birds in their ears.

Probably chasing after a poor frog into the tall grass.
