My most unpopular TES opinion is that if I had to choose who I'd want to win in a second great war between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Empire, I'd want the Dominion to win. Simply because the Empire is starting to feel so incredibly stale and overdone by now, Tamriel literally had 3 human Empires in a row, the third Empire is currently hanging on by a single thread, and I also think seeing a Thalmor victory would be incredibly narratively interesting for future game settings. I do not under any circumstances want to see the Empire be saved or able to recover. Even if both the Empire and Dominion lose, I desperately want to see Tamriel without the Empire. It would make everything so much more intriguing.

Low-key hilarious how 95% of Dragonborn end up with a Hoard. Absolutely peak intersection of narrative and game design. You consume ONE dragon soul and next thing you know you’ve got 175 wheels of cheese. You learn like 3 whole words in Draconic and you’ve got poor Lydia pack-muling candelabras across the fjords. I personally mostly Hoarded precious metals and gems, but I’ve seen people who Hoarded books and pelts and, like…there is No mechanical reward for this. Players just love to Hoard shit in that game. Absolute Dragon behavior.
