Going to Thailand? Try Scuba Diving

Perhaps, you know already that Thailand is quite popular for scuba diving due to the warm and calm waters that it offers. Also, you will be able to find so many beautiful marine life and this would make the scuba diving experience more enjoyable. Also, you must know that Thailand's diving experience is really cheap unlike when you would go for a dive in the Caribbean or Europe. To ensure your safety though, you need to make sure that you look for a reliable dive operator.
For you to get the most from the scuba diving Phuket experience, you should know where and when you must go there. Make sure that you plan things carefully because not all the dive sites in Thailand are actually available throughout the year.
One of the most favorite destinations in Thailand is the Similan Islands. They are a small group of islands which is at the western coast of Thailand. The Similans are actually visited by the liveaboard boats from Phuket and Khao Lak in which the divers are going to sleep and eat and they would dive on the boat for several days. Often, the liveaboard would last for four days and four nights and allows the divers to get 14 dives.
The Similans are an excellent place where you can learn to dive because going for the liveaboard trip will let the new diver to enjoy lots of practice by doing several dives. It is quite important that you are taught by a good liveaboard operator who has full PADI certification and also experienced instructors. Make sure that you ask the operator about the newness of the scuba equipment and the staff qualifications. Check out this website at http://www.ehow.com/sports/recreation/scuba-diving/ and learn more about scuba diving.
You must be aware that the Similan Islands are just open to the divers from October to May each year. Also, you must know that the monsoon seasons come on June to September and such would have rough seas and you won't get safe diving.
You can also visit the very tiny island which is in the eastern coast of Thailand and this is home of the Full Moon parties. You will actually take a four-hour ride on a ferry from Surat Thani to reach Koh Tao. Such is a great escape for the divers as this is an amazing island. Though this is popular, this continues to be uncrowded. Also, there are many dive shops which are providing diving daytrips and there are also very few scheduled liveaboards though they sometimes happen.
When you are going to choose your Thailand diving trip at http://phuketdiving.org, then you must think of the time of the year that you can go and make a decision if you want to have a liveaboard trip or if you want to go for daytrips and just go back to the hotel every evening.
