In the back room, Carla will start a (very long) monologue, you don't need to respond. Carla will ask you to put your belongings on the desk and then search you with her hand-held metal detector. Next, take the gold flaked liquor from your inventory and take a sip. As you will automatically leave the area, go back up to Carla again. Carla will detonate the 'bomb' and you will end up with a key. Your next response should be that a shifty looking guy put it there. When she asks what it is, tell her you found it under her desk. Take out Nicks cigarette case and show it to Carla. This will bring you to Carla, the blimps security guard. On top awaits another staircase, go up even further. When you are in the area with the kiosk, go up the staircase. Next, take the elevator back down and exit the hallway. When Nick is gone, pick up the cigarette case from the table and leave the area either left or right from the statue.
