“Can I ask what Paradise looks like?” Allura asked, voice turning quiet. “And… how do you even decide which souls go where? Must be difficult.”

“It’s different for everyone, some people tell me it looks like a field with little houses all around, others see it as a forest with cabins. It all depends on what the person desires,” Mori stated, flicking their tail off to the side before chuffing lightly. “It depends, I occasionally base it off their treatment of others, sometimes what they have done during life tells me enough. But mostly, I can feel the energy in their souls.”

They looked back to Allura with a gentle blink of their eyes, “Even yours, I can see you are troubled. But at your core you are caring and selfless. This universe needs someone such as you to lead it into a new age.”

“Occasionally, whenever I must deliver souls to it. Some thank me, others beg to go back.” Mori explained softly, looking around the room curiously. “It is always messy when dealing with a war, it takes much consideration to decide who goes where.”

Mori relaxed their body a bit, “It is understandable, usually I would not linger in the space of mortals. You had a right to be suspicious.” They said, though it was clear that the assumption had upset them quite a bit. They laid down several feet from Allura with a flutter of their wings, “It is nice to stick around people I know will go to paradise.”

Allura was attempting to not less judgemental and for the most part was doing a decent job, but sometimes she slipped up. Her ears lowered a little as she watched them lay down. “Paradise? Have you been there, before?”

“…I apologise.” She gave a small bow of her head, arms still crossed. She was uncomfortable with them here, but if they didn’t cause any chaos or harm… she wasn’t going to be hostile. Allura’s shoulders slumped and she closed her eyes. “I’m just a little on edge.”

“Assumptions are a dangerous thing, princess.” Mori scowled at Allura with a low huff, annoyed by the implications she had made. They circled around her with a soft growl, “I merely wish to stick around, which shouldn’t be a problem.”

@scul-seeker wanted a starter. 

“If you’re here for me, prepare to be disappointed. I’m not going to die anytime soon.” Eyes narrowed a little as she stood nearby, arms folding across her chest as she stared at the other cautiously.

Adrian then wrapped his arm around Mori, looking up at them with a little smile.

“I wantsa keeps dem arounds.” Adrian said, then going to nuzzle the large creature. “Dey is nice wikes you..”

Mori stiffened a bit at the comment, though they gently nuzzled his hair softly with a light huff. “You should rest, child. It’s getting late...”

“Rather pretentious, and presumptuous.” Mori said softly, flicking their tail off to the side before rolling their irises. “You will ‘fall’ to me eventually, but I don’t speed up the process as a rule of thumb.” They stated, looking off to the side with a yawn. “I can be wherever I want, all that is required is a soul to require my attention.”

@scul-seeker​ Inquired: “You have cut it close many times, you both have.” (( Mori being like ‘I want them souls’ to Lance and Keith ))

   “Yeah, we have. We’ve faced a lot and we won’t fall to you if that’s what you plan doing. So state how you got in here before I cut you down!” Keith said with a growl, teeth bared and knife at the ready.

   Lance meanwhile just looks at the other in confusion. No need to say anything when mullet gave the warning.

Adrian nuzzled the soul back, gently pressing a kiss to its surface. “I sowwie. I wub you!”

“I wikes dem.. dey is fwiendly…”

Mori practically melted at this, though they had no visible mouth you could tell by their eyes that they were smiling. The soul returned to their side and then the beast wrapped a gentle paw over Adrian, “That’s why I keep him around,”

Adrian seemed saddened, looking up at Mori and then the colorful orb. “I-I sowwy..” he said to the orb, reaching up his hands. “Gib hug?”

Shit, he was too cute.

Mori looked up to the orb but they needn’t say anything as the soul drifted down towards Adrian and nuzzled against his shoulder gently, “He forgives you, little one.”
