I'll get symbolic with this, because a lot of the movie has these beautiful visual metaphors, and I think that could be applied here.

I am going into a bit of spoilers for the rooms, though. So, be advised.

The room Yelena is in initially is a moment of both shame and trauma for her. She feels guilty about something they forced her to do. While she understands she was a child, she still has that feeling that, like Bob did as a kid, she did something wrong, and someone got hurt. Bob sees what Yelena sees and is standing right there with her because the feeling they both have is similar, that is why they keep contact after.

Walker's room is something he did as an adult, as a father even. There is a difference with what happened with Yelena that even Walker comments on when they're in the elevator shaft. He should have known better, that part of his shame. When he comes back, he is further away from the rest, right at the edge and about to fall. Meanwhile, Bob is giving him a completely different look than the one he gave Yelena. Because Bob just saw the man who got physical with him before ignore his own child and storming out on his family. If there was already a pretty big distance between Bob and Walker by their interactions so far, it is even more noticeable now that Bob saw his room. And the scene makes that space literal, Bob has even moved closer Yelena to be away from Walker.

so a thought, in the beginning of the movie when yelena and walker are in their void rooms, bob is only in yelena's. he is actually there, they look at each other, and they are still touching when they get out. but bob isn't in walker's room and they are not touching when he wakes, bob is already next to the others. why is that? does he see walker's room at all?
