Caleb and me have decided to partner up in all of the group projects for our class. I kind of wish Caleb would put more effort into the pieces but it’s whatever. Caleb tells some of our classmates to shut up when they start talking about my mask. I’m grateful for that, it gets so tiring after a while. We’ve actually started hanging out outside of school. I’ve been telling him about some of the things I’m interested in. He likes a few of the bands I do. He’s also shown me all the stuff he’s into. Some of its pretty interesting? He says he’s gonna get me to enjoy his stuff. He’s determined I’ll give him that.
It’s good to have a friend again.
I hope it won’t end up like last time. I’m sure it won’t. My luck can’t be that bad.

I shouldn’t say lack of, that’s misleading. The short one is the most openly curious about my mask, and I don’t really blame him? He’s at least not very pushy when he asks. He backed off a bit when I said it was kind of like a prosthetic, like how old war vets who had facial wounds got masks and partial mask like prosthetics to cover it up. But now the three of them are asking about what happened. I don’t like when people ask.
It hurts to remember. The sound of rock scraping bone, the pressure on my eye before it popped and gave in. Adam staring at me above the water, as I sunk down. The water turning a reddy-orange. I don’t want to remember
I think that my neighbours are trying to film an exercise regime? I’ve talked to them a few times now, and I guess they’re okay. They don’t make fun of me to my face, but I can hear the confusion through the door when I leave. They’re very loud guys. But one of their brothers let’s me play with his dog so long as I show him some of my art. I call that a fair deal. The short loud one out of the three guys that live next door, (I don’t think they live together but they’re at the house next door all together almost everyday), he the most openly curious about my face, or I guess ‘lack of’

So I’ve started classes. It’s hard. Not the classes themselves, those are pretty easy actually. But the other students keep staring. I know that I’m odd to look at, I’m glad my aunt is going blind so she can’t see what’s become of her precious nephew. But still, I can already hear people whispering. At least my fine arts professor doesn’t mind, he already complimented my work on our first project. At least Caleb, the kid who sits next to me, has been polite enough. Though he still pointed out my face.
I hate my face. It wasn’t even my fault I got hurt. I wanted to back out of cliff jumping but Adam wouldn’t let me. The water was cold but the rocks made it sting white hot. I could feel the rocks scratch the inside of my skull.

I’ve been living with my aunt for like two weeks now, and my new neighbours are sooooo loud! I’m all for loud music, but I looked out the window and saw a guy tackle one of his friends and run up and down the street screaming while carrying the guy? It’s midnight. Why are they screaming? I mean it’s not like I was going to fall asleep anyways but it’s still kind of annoying? Either way I’m supposed to start education fun shit soon, finally got my documents figured out. Old aunt is to forgetful to help with any of it. But she has let me steal a room in the basement to use as an art studio so I’m pumped! I’ve got a couple other little too bits from the past two weeks I’ve lived here so far so-
I miss my friends back home. There wasn’t supposed to be a snowstorm, I was so excited. My dad said we might be able to actually go ice fishing for a change.

So I just moved to my aunts place in New Jersey after the accident back in my hometown in Alabama, and I swear to god my aunt is so old I’m suprised she’s still alive! Like how the hell is she still moving she’s so frail! Either way her minds going, I’m not sure why she offered to let me stay with her, but hell I’m not complaining considering the price of rent literally anywhere else!
