So I recently finished the Suicide Squad Ostrander Run. It was on my list for a while ago but decided to finally read it cause I wanted to read more about Captain Boomerang and I always like to start with the '87 retcons. I definitely wasnt prepared for his characterization there and won't talk about it here but- I think I now have a new guilty pleasure ship. And I just want to know if I'm the only one in this *ship* with me.

So Deadshot going with Boomerang to his mother's funeral was something. I, at first, thought about this ship lightly in the first issues because why was Lawton visiting Boomerang when he managed to be out of prison thanks to the SS missions he was in?

But the thing is that I was not prepared for what was going to happen after Boomerang's mother's funeral issue.

So basically Boomerang took too many drinks and they missed their airplane so now Deadshot's luggage got lost with his outfit and identity???? And he starts to hate on him so fucking much???

So I don't really have any screenshots of the issues but Deadshot starts threatening Boomerang for losing his luggage and Boomerang's just like "Jeez... I'll have to kill him I guess" and it really shouldnt be as funny as it is 😭😭? Because there's also this page when Deadshot has the opportunity to shot a guy that was fighting with Boomerang and he just decides to not help in the most goofy way possible.

After that Boomerang found his luggage (decided to do that instead of trying to kill him idk why) and gave it to him but Deadshot still hates him because he's a jerk in that run so yeah.

Idk I just think they should have a situationship. Unless you think I'm weird for seeking toxic yaoi whenever I go. Then in that case you didnt saw this post and you can judge me only if you do it in silence.

Also do they even have a ship name. How would that work? Boomershot? Idk. I just can't stop thinking about them and needed to share my current obsession with the world.

[Honestly not sure what to do with this blog or any of my others these days, may leave it up as an archive if I do abandon Tumblr as a platform because like 2 people have said they still want to look through my work. Does not mean I don't care about roleplaying as a whole, but...

I've been increasingly burnt out on writing for about a year and a half now and let me tell you, taking like 4 consecutive hours to finish a single post is not what I would call fun. It's either that or I stare blankly at a screen for months knowing I could write the words I needed to if I just had time or energy or...IDK probably not college and personal life sapping my will to live. If it's a chore and it's not literally essential to my survival, I tend to ignore it. This has led to several people sending me death threats; honestly I prefer the ones who insult and then block me more. At least they're honest. I don't know when this will be better, I don't know when I'll enjoy LITERALLY ANYTHING again if I'm being candid. Do what you will with that information, because I honestly don't care what others think of me. Already know I'm a horrible person.

Maybe 2026 will be better, but I'm not terribly optimistic and also seriously doubt I'll even live until 2026.]

Been kind of dead this week and will likely continue to be dead through the next week seeing as the university faculty won't let me transfer out of applied humanities (which is really just a mixture of music theory and AP English) as they say it's "required" for me to get my Geology degree. 50 "short essay, need citations" questions due within a week about varying subjects for the same damn class is insane.

In this essay the mun will be feeling too shitty to go to sleep but also too shitty to do anything actually useful including my homework. Also Tumblr will not let me place a cut for some reason so just be warned of erection talk if you're somehow a child and following this blog. Honestly I am way too tired to give input/analyze/etc. this in a proper [taking multiple examples from canon] sense at the moment, but I will die on the hill of "accidentally made myself a masochist" Floyd Lawton. Pain and arousal are often interchangeable for LGBT people, and between the cigarette burns and the fact he's all too willing to let people stick all manner of weapons in him it was a very slow realization that his dick was getting hard from more than just an adrenaline rush. Will he admit this? No. I actually think he'd rather die first rather than saying "As something that is sometimes a man, I have kinks". But I'm not living down the "I think Floyd just really wants Thomas in particular to crack his ribcage open and fuck him in it" post and you know what? As the author of this blog I can say he's not living down that thought either. For free, even.

[Would love to say I actually have the time or the desire to use the internet nowadays (given how every time I breathe I seem to get dogpiled and legitimately just don't enjoy this website anymore), but honestly? Everything about Floyd calling Thomas "Princess" is cute as fuck to me. I feel like we need more characters in comics who call each other nicknames. [and more specifically very early 2000-era's nicknames because it was harmless fun]

Anyways I have no idea if I've stated this on Tumblr before, but Floyd is a nickname kind of guy. Dude cannot go even like 5 hours without coming up with something stupid and deciding to implement with all the courage of a man who is constantly told he's wrong about things but who doesn't care. The nicknames he fires off don't even make sense sometimes, unless you're Floyd.

Okay back to doing actually useful things before my [stolen] power flickers out again but-

I really doubt he's had the time to give much thought to it given how whenever he's not doing a job, 9/10 times Floyd is unconscious. But honestly my interpretation of him is probably like...a demiboy??? I think that's the right term but I myself am not one.
