Logically I understand why Jas moving into our farm when Shane does doesn’t happen. It’s likely a coding mess. After all, if you’ve only upgraded your house once where would she go? Would her room move if you upgrade the house at all? If the house is completely upgraded, there’s really no space to fit an extra room. And thats just problems for a bedroom!

Would she even want to move onto the farm with you and Shane if you have low hearts? And then you’d have to consider Jas’ schedule and how much it would change (and Penny’s given that she drops her off!).

Despite all that (and probably more problems that I can’t even think of), I would love it if Jas lived on the farm with Shane, given that he’s her guardian. I think it would be super cute and Jas would love it 🥺

i wish they would take weddings and childbirth more seriously in stardew 😭 like idk maybe make the weddings more like a festival, where you can talk to everyone and maybe get wedding gifts from ppl you have more hearts with. and for childbirth, maybe make it take more than two weeks and if it's a female farmer have her get weaker closer to the birth like something please 😭😭😭 i get there's probably mods for that stuff but i wish it was just a little deeper/more serious in canon

i don't understand how saying shane needs a friend and not a romantic partner is infantalizing tbh. in alcoholics anonymous you're literally advised not to date for a year after getting sober because you're more likely to enter codependent relationships + you need time to figure who you even are without this all consuming addiction. i'd argue all the spouses get pretty codependent after marriage and stardew is just a video game so maybe real world addiction programs and their advice is not relevant but it's hardly infantalizing imo.

when i first started playing stardew valley (im still very new to the game, just hit my second spring!), i had no idea that marriage candidates were such a big deal in the fanbase. honestly my best friends are pierre and marnie and evelyn and willy and i didnt start doing anything with the marriage candidates until one of my friends told me that the marriage candidates have more cutscenes. and im nosy and want lore so now im pursuing sebastian to find out his lore and im gonna dump him once i get all the tea so i can learn all the lore about someone else. such is the life of an unromantic and somewhat cruel gamer, i guess. did anybody else make friends with mostly the older characters before realizing that marriage was a big thing? 😅

when i get enough money i always buy heaters and put them in four places, next to hat mouse's window, in dusty's pen (I use mods so idk if that's possible in vanilla), in linus's tent, and in the dwarf's cave. ik it doesn't do anything but it makes me feel better cause i hate to imagine them getting cold during the winter 😭😭😭
