I just wanna say I used to be in an outsiders discord server that used to f3etishize the gay ships. It was actually horrible AND I WILL BE NAME DROPPING. Nikki you're weird for saying that you would shift to p3g Johnny, Micheal you're weird for having noodle pics of matt dillon in your phone and sending them to the server. EVERYONE IS WEIRD IN THAT SERVER !!! ( I have nothing against gay relationships/ships unless they are illegal and or being f3tishized. Also you don't have to post this I just wanna get it off my chest 😭) PS: I left that server lit two days after joining due to how uncomfortable I was

I could never hate any of the characters, I dislike some of their actions or a leice of their personality, and I'm not saying some of those actions are excusable but they are all so realistically written that it makes them incredibly human and incredibly relatable

I hate the ponyboy villainization so much, yeah he takes his brothers for granted sometimes and isn't the best, but he a moody teenager who just lost both of his parents and his older brother is now his new parental figure. And then he lost 2 of his closest friends, like c'mon man he deserves sm more love, I'm not saying he's a Saint or innocent but give em' some slack☹

I’m not too big in this fandom anymore but I still occasionally check in to see how my favorite people are doing and I have SO MUCH to complain about. I'll keep it short and sweet tho 🙂‍↕️

1. I really dislike the jokes about people being dirty because they’re poor. They’re offensive and stereotypical. Just because someone is poor doesn’t mean they lack hygiene. The Curtis brothers, especially Soda, were portrayed as attractive. It’s frustrating to see Johnny, who was abused and neglected, being subjected to these misconceptions the most. Like stfu, you’re seriously just not funny.

2. Shipping wars are strange. I don’t ship anyone, especially not the “jally” ship, but I don’t make a fuss about it. The book is from the '60s, so nothing will change, making the shipping debates pointless. I think the majority of you are just homophobic. “It was the 60s!!” gay people existed in the 60s? Tf? There’s nothing inherently wrong with any of the ships; it's all about personal preference, so no one has the right to claim one is better. I don’t find them logical, but others do, and that's perfectly fine. Enjoy the media in whatever way you like!

3. We need to promote more creativity in the fandom. Fanfics, fanart, and edits are ways to enjoy media authentically. If you criticize what others enjoy to the point of spreading hate or calling attention to it, you’re part of the problem. You suck, shut up. If you have an idea for fanart, fanfic, or edits, create it—no matter how good or bad you think it is. Most people appreciate any form of creativity, and it's important to be grateful for that.

hi!!!! Anyway I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who holds this opinion but-

steve(Randle) and his dad have a grey(like morally gray)/ parasitic/ kinda mutualism relationship

like parasitic bc his dad mooches off of Steve’s money

gray bc well he kicked his son out but ( head cannon upcoming ig?) but he still loves his son and doesn’t know how to show it

and mutual because they they weren’t in each others life’s they would probably crumble one way or another ( the dad more significantly)

also I’m not doing anonymous bc some of the people that are send you WEIRD stuff and honestly I’m not into that

also Steve Acts more like his dad than he thinks thank you bye

Ngl I have mixed feelings on a lot of ships on this fandom because personally. I prefer Johnny x Pony in the musical than the book/movie whereas like... Johnny x Dally I prefer it in the book/movie more than I do the musical if that makes sense..??
