"I got one or two from a distance, but nothing that shows you off properly. How about we take some where the light's good on the bridge?" she offered, pointing out where she was referring to in the bustling city.
"And forget about money, I do this because I like it. And we won't know if they'd be worth paying for until we're done, in any case."

I'm Lena" she answered, offering the girl her hand. "And despite how this looks" she said, motioning to her camera, "I'm not a professional photographer or anything. I just really like getting shots of things that catch my eye. Things I'll want to look at again later and really remember."
Tumblr media
She took another glance over at the Scorbunny and trainer with a wide smile, and let out a little laugh.
"Maybe it's a little weird to include you two in that when I've never seen you before, but I'd like to think I can tell real talent from somebody just playing around. Maybe if we both make it big someday we could get some use out of these in your biography."

Oops. Spotted staring, Lena had to make a snap decision; should she admit to having been enamoured by the outfit of the girl who was now looking her way, obviously custom-made with a lot of love and a desire to match her partner Pokémon, or she could pretend to have been noticed while merely looking in her direction.
With a notion of nothing ventured, nothing gained, Lena opted for the former, and waved the girl over, motioning towards her camera.
Tumblr media
"Hi!" she greeted her, hoping that the girl wasn't so introverted as to find her intrusive. "Sorry for staring, I couldn't help admiring your clothes. They're really gorgeous, I'm guessing handmade? I've never seen somebody match their Pokémon so well out and about before, you're both so cute together!"
Spotting a Thread
It had been a number of years now since Lena had seen Motostoke, but the city had barely changed from her memories. The red brick buildings, the constant droning of industry, and the quietly flowing streams all served to reinforce that yes, this truly was the heart of southern Galar.
Unlike her sisters, Lena wasn't here to sign up to this year's Gym Challenge, but to spectate it. Taking some photos of the opening ceremony with her own camera felt like the perfect way to celebrate her two sisters' appearances in it, as well as document various other things she encountered along the way.
She was much too early to document anything of importance, however, as the opening ceremony wouldn't be for another several days, and she was the only one of the three sisters currently even in the city. And so it was that she instead spent her time glancing through the lens of her camera, keeping an eye out for anything else that may capture her interest.

It was the morning of what would be an ordinary day to most in Alola. The sun had risen over the horizon almost two hours ago, and by now most of the day-dwelling denizens of Melemele Island had begun their daily routines. For at least four people, however, it was the last day of their time in Alola; as the day had finally arrived that three girls would be returning to their home region of Galar.
True to form, the older sisters, the twins Nio and Khloe, or more specifically just Nio, had managed to leave preparations to the last minute, despite their excitement, leaving their younger sister, Lena, who had been far more organized, quite the step ahead of them. Already she had headed up to Iki Town to meet the Kahuna, and had chosen from one of the three Pokémon that Kahuna Hala had offered the girls as a farewell gift.
The little Pokémon beside her, sharing in Lena's view of the sky as the last dregs of red faded away from it, allowing the sea and sky to join together at the horizon in a wall of blue and white that stretched far beyond what either of the two could see.
Standing up, the girl took a small camera from her bag, a fairly expensive one by the looks of things, a relatively rare sight in the world of smartphones and cloud storage, and brought it up to her eye level, snapping a photo of the view.
Tumblr media
"I know it seems a little silly," she said to the little Popplio beside her, as she squatted down in front of her new partner, "but I wouldn't want to forget that this is the first thing we saw together. You know what I mean, right?"
With their introduction out of the way, the newly-named Emeraude and her trainer had nothing left to do in Alola but see her older sisters choose between the offered Pokémon as well. And from the sounds of the loud voices coming up the hill, it wouldn't be a long wait...
