While I was thinking about this, I’ve been thinking of a familiars/mythical creatures/his dark materials au where in the tbhx world most ppl would have normal animals as their familiars/daemons but heroes have their familiars/daemons shifted into mythical creatures alongside them as heroes. Like LL’s daemon is a pigeon or deer that shifted into a peryton when he’s Nice (and then back to regular pigeon/deer when he’s the Commoner lol), Nice’s was a dove or white deer into a peryton, DB’s a dragon, Luoli’s a dancing lion (from a regular tiger?), Ahu is Ahu, etc. would anyone be interested in it? no story but I am drawing creatures regardless

Still making my way down the top 10 as their episodes end ✍️ Here’s Lucky Cyan's edition! The episodes felt a bit quickly paced but I really enjoyed her story and the origins of how she got her powers.

deliberating between actually writing this au rewrite fixit fic or just leaving it because it’s become too ooc. It’s been years….

its about tua LMAO. I honestly can’t feel I can match the gothic vibes ua has but I don’t want to stray too far from canon… but what is fanfiction for??? im either going to leave what I have in bullet points, actually write it out (still working out the outline bleh), or leave the bullet points and also write the entire thing out (this self-indulgent au has been haunting my mind rent free I need to be freeee)

I LOVE identity issues tropes, which sparrow Ben has in spades with being One or Two or Six, his Umbrella and Sparrow self, the alternate timeline memories coming back in s4, being a child soldier or hero or martyr, the Horror, his want to be the ruthless successful leader vs being the brother with a family who loves him but unable to be either or SMTH idk! It’s all so delicious I really want to explore that

Jennifer’s extraordinary origins in the squid and then thinking she’s been living a relatively normal life save for the nightmares but then Ben crashes in and it’s all revealed to be a huge lie, her whole life a lie, her town her adopted family her world. Is she the damsel in distress or the monster that’ll consume the entire universe? does Jennifer even know about the umbrella/sparrow academy and marigold babies? Like, Reginald probably wouldn’t want her to get curious and interact with Marigold kids and banned any real news report from showing on the tvs but the in-universe comic books exist! Does she know about them? She would probably think it’s all fictional, but the antics about her discovering that the comic books were REAL and superpowers are REAL and there’s a REAL world out there including sentient chimpanzees and robots, ghosts, the Commission and time travel, after discovering everything’s turned upside down is SO DELICIOUS and hilarious (Jennifer: *joking but desperate underneath* but the Eiffel towers are still here tho haha right? right??? Ben: 😶 Jennifer: 😭 my travel dreams…). What’s true and not true? And what if there was a deeper secret to her? What is the connection between Durango, Marigold and the Machine? She’s the perfect viewpoint character for my au! And because she and Ben could share visions I’m making that a part of her powers, she’s like jobu tubaki from eeaao but inkier and more cosmic horror. With her Life a Lie combined with alternate timeline Visions her first meeting with Jean & Gene goes like

J&G: we have seen other timelines Jennifer: OH SAME! wait is this a common experience??? (just escaped a Fake Town) People experience this too? I thought I was crazy! J&G: YES EXACTLY!!! AND NO, WE’RE NOT “crazy”!!! You can help bring us the Cleanse and finally end this maddening timeline! Jennifer: (…these people are crazy..!) the what :)??? I have so many headcanons I’ve built out of this. When canon gives me nothing :)

in the actual rewrite itself, it’ll follow s4 generally. I want everyone to be saved from their s4 ending fates of course.

Also marigold, durango, and the Machine will just inevitably be discovered again after being “erased” because they’re the essence of the universe and then we’re right back where we started!

It was such a relatively happy ending (compared to the other arcs) I completely forgot about the abuse 💀 I agree I also think that’s what happened and those people who threw rocks through the windows blaming the orphanage for their misfortunes + luo’s own luck amplified his injuries 😭 I think he’s very intuitive and used to avoiding/dodging the bad luck that surrounds him but he couldn’t escape the orphanage’s growing curse and the dean

but him and cyan escaped and are very silly here ☺️
