as someone who has ALWAYS been plus size, i never felt shame about it. people i guess were trying to bully me into an ed?? which i never understood i have always been pretty body neutral at worst. when i got older and realized how many of my peers were struggling with self hate and control an ed tricks you to do, i was confused when every star was aligned for me to develop one just like them, and a LOT of people in my life assume i have one cause of my weight. dont get me wrong, i am incredibly grateful i was the lucky few to not develop one. i absolutely use this ability to ignore the fat hate comments to make people feel bad and uncomfortable about fat shaming others for those who cant.

but coming out and realizing im a seal makes this oddness i felt make WAY more sense. like of course i dont care how big i get, seals dont care how big they get. of course i like to shake myself around and feel the movement, like a seal galumphing across the ground its almost mimicking that feeling. just makes it feel more like an identifying factor of who i actually am and validates that for me.

working as a therian with elementary kids feels like when you were 7 and you had like a wildlife conservationist come to your school and show you the animal ambassadors

bring me into the assembly to teach kids about my natural habitat while giving me food to keep me calm

It’s so easy to just say “don’t hate on therians, they are having fun’ without making it infantilization and adding onto the stereotype that all therians and alterhumans are just dumb kids. Even still I can se where ‘they are having fun’ can be seen as bad but also. We are having fun. And hating us for having fun is stupid and loser behavior. Hating anyone who is having a harmless good time, even if it’s not your idea of a good time, is loser behavior.
