A TRIP TO  the  boutique  was  never  a  desirable  conquest  among  the  olive - toned  girl .  auradon  women  seemingly  had  an  unspoken  rule  to  appear  desirable  --  perfect ,  at  all  times ,  a  feeling  which  left  melody  felt  separated  from  the  crowd  (  a  feeling  she  had  grown  accustomed  to  in  her  twenty - four  years  of  life  ) .  it  was  no  secret  she  had  waited  a  bit  too  long  between  visits ,  as  her  clothes  had  grown  ratty ,  with  several  holes  &  tears  in  them .   ❝     uh  --  i  can  come  back  tomorrow ?  i  don’t  wanna  keep  you  any  longer  if  you  were  just  getting  ready  to  head  out .   ❞

‘ i’d say we’re closed ,’ rubied lips start to speak before faltering , eyes taking a quick glance up && down at the figure in front of her — pouted corners upturning into a small , pitted smile .  ‘ — but you look like you could use the help . ‘ it wasn’t unusual for something genuine to come out the wrong way , almost a decade in auradon && evie still struggled with watching her words . a villain raised , but hero at heart — she still grew up in the isle .

🐚  —  YOU ARE BORN to a princess of the sea & prince of the land. an anomaly, a MIRACLE, the first of your kind. your mother united both kingdom’s in her devout search for true love & only solidified that bond through your creation. upon the announcement of your birth, the sibling of the sea witch who haunted your mother years prior put your life in danger in a ruthless vendetta to avenge her fallen sister. from this point on, the sea is hushed & stowed in the back of your mind - never to be revealed again.  🐚  — THE SALTWATER CALLS your name & you can’t help but escape to it at every opportunity you get despite mother & father’s warnings of its hidden dangers. the land does not understand you. they think you are different, they call you strange. there is an unmatched serenity & bliss within the ocean that ‘ home ‘ does not have. 🐚  —  MAYHEM ENSUES ON your twelfth birthday when you discover a locket with your name on it. frustration arises at the lack of answers from your mother & father, & you are pushed farther away from land as your birthday celebration ends in a complete catastrophe. you depart on your own in a row boat into the ocean, taking fate into your own hands. 🐚  —  HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF as you are placed in the same situation as your mother all those years ago. although this time, it is you seeking the sea just as she sought the land. the witch offers a potion to give you a tail for days but this does not quench your thirst. you plead a permanent solution, to which she tells you to bring her the king’s triton.  🐚  —  ONCE THE TRITON is yours, you remorsefully bid give your old home a goodbye. you are able to conclude your story & give the triton to the sea witch when you stumble upon your mother with fins such as yourself. the truth is then revealed: you have been drawn to the sea for so long because the sea is in your blood. the rage of your mother’s lies blind you as you give over the triton to the sea witch.  🐚  —  THE SEA WITCH quickly reveals her true colors & a fight ensues between the now ever powerful octopus with atlantica & your father’s kingdom. you manage to free yourself from the ice cave that she had locked you in. you take this time to escape & steal the triton from the witch, saving everyone. no one would have been in peril had it not been for you. upon losing the triton, morgana knocks you off of the ice tower you had climbed onto in order to save everyone. 🐚  —  MORGANA IS BANISHED to the depths of the ocean & your family presumes you to be dead as they prepare for the worst. though you are unconscious for several hours, you awake in a state of confusion. upon waking you explain the reasoning behind your behavior. your human life was a failure - others saw you as odd & bizarre. perhaps a life in the sea would have suited you better. your mother assures you of how proud both her & your father are of you. 🐚  —  YOU ARE ELATED to finally know your grandfather & the truth of your roots. as your are a child of two differing worlds, you are offered a choice: stay on land with your parents, or move to atlantica with your father & aunts. you decide that the better option would be to remove the barrier once & for all, so that land & sea can become one. this allows you to fully accept who you are.  🐚  —  THE UNITY OF all the kingdoms offers you the education of a lifetime as you study at auradon prep. your devotion to the sea is limitless & you vow to spend your days as an aquatic veterinarian so that you may save every creature from your home as possible. while you may still be seen as peculiar & odd, you have become accustomed to this & grown to love yourself in your eccentricities.
