“I didn’t know you smoked,” he admitted, but he handed him the cigarette anyway.

“I don’t, usually.”

Kinn took it like he knew what he was doing, though. He inhaled and didn’t cough. He handed the cigarette back. Porsche had the odd sensation of putting his mouth on something Kinn had just had in his mouth, but he shook it off.

“You look like shit,” Porsche finally said. “Are you okay?”

Kinn smiled. “Leave it to you to know exactly what to say to make me feel better.”

“I just mean you don’t…look like yourself. Do you want to talk about it?”

Kinn shook his head. He didn’t want to talk about it.
