unpopular opinion i think lost type is actually one of the things that makes sekaiju great. it's a wholly original type that can have many meanings applied to it (which kind of fits if you think about it. enough meanings to get lost in. thumbs up emoji), and is generally just very fun to ponder on and apply to creatures. it's literally being lost in some way type, various mind manipulation (relating mostly to memory) type, I Forgor type, whatever-tempus-has-going-on type, lost ocean type, etc there's so much going on with this thing it might as well be mirroring sekaiju lore like i swear i know at least one person who's mostly here because of lost type and everything about it. and i can't even blame them i've never seen anything do any type close to it it's really interesting if you think about it and sets sekaiju's type list apart from pokemon and the like by a good amount unfortunately, curse of the flesh type situation and a good amount of people wanting it out of the game. which i don't think anything can be done about. i guess lost is kind of just doomed to live up to its name and be kept on AU life support not to complain or dictate what you and the rest of the devteam should do with woc/ham or anything i promise, just really stating a hyperspecific type opinion as ive seen other people do here

Mmm... Lost is one of my favorite types and it's one I think a surprising amount of devs like as well. In retrospect there's a good chance it wouldn't have been cut. But it'd be hard to rebalance the chart; you'll find it's almost perfectly balanced if you count, give or take a couple outliers (we posted counts of resistance/weaknesses, you can compare and see for yourself).

i started rewatching the she-ra reboot again... (love that show btw) was Amonea ii inspired by Catra from said show by any chance?

She was not; she was more so inspired by the dichtomy between the cute "moe" catgirls and the more dangerous and violent ones seen in some media - leaning towards the later side (hence why she's got the closest thing to a firearm she could realistically have). If she ended up in the modern world she'd probably become a gun collector!

Hi searchie.... a detail relating to daemon's fight intrigues me!

Did you change daemon's theme from "Duel on the Asphalt" to "Angel or Devil" purely because the name fitted more, or did the song itself fit her better in your eyes (or ears, rather)?

i enjoy both songs personally

The song does indeed fit better and the name probably influenced it too. Angel or Devil also comes from the same "album" as Berceuse's battle theme and the Berceuse Palace them, which helps make the music feel consistent and connected. Finally, Angel or Devil has multiple variants, which is nice for multi-phase bosses.

A lot of this is stuff that's purposely left up to interpretation. This is just a headcanon (or a starting point for one!), but maybe the liquid is a solution incorporating Zero? I do imagine Zero is very good at preserving things (see Ice Apostle and Nester World of Zero)

what if mythic was rebranded into like. an ancient knowledge type. things old and elusive to the point of being a sort of myth type. creatures utilizing something with ancient knowledge/magic/etce type.. we have jackelope and awokenkeeper and a few other things it Could Work. it would mesh really well with lost too, i can see the two complimenting each other

the *dragon* dragon moves could be moved into other types perhaps? scalescatter for example always struck me as a typeselect

not saying you totally absolutely must go in that direction or something, your game your decisions. just felt like sharing an idea for the sake of sharing an idea

I've seen this kind of take on Mythic before and while I understand where it's coming from my issue with it is that it feels really redundant with Lost. Ancient knowledge can easily be covered with Lost and Magic, for example. The vast majority of Mythic types are also dragon-like atm so rebranding the type away from them would result in very few Mythic types.

Naturlith to Cyberlith happened roughly 20 years ago. Banafrit kaboom'd around 14 years ago, so the war ended roughly around that time, maybe 15 years ago.

Which boss theme/battle theme is your favourite and which one would you consider to be the best (works as a battle theme and fits the boss it's used for)?

Off the top of my head Vyvin's is a banger, and then amongst the custom themes there's Belielf's, whose theme is so good I came up with Faeryii while listening to it.

As for fittingness I'd probably go with Banafrit's. (Also high up on the banger list)

confession 437 sentries look a little bit like v-models (v1 and v2 of the ultrakill) to me. the fact that both are blue (v1-coldrsentry(though definitely not the same variety of blue at all)) and red (v2-hotrsentry) makes this sillier my insenitraitor is nicknamed V2

You're not the only one to have seen a ressemblance... Some of the NPCs in the HotR Rebel area are actually named after them internally! (I wasn't the one who named them though and I didn't base the original design for the Sentries on them.)
