Here’s 926 Augur Lane from the Jackaby series by William Ritter! It’s not totally accurate to how I actually imagine it but I altered it to fit a school project :)

Sometimes Charles sees Edwin suddenly jerk in pain for no reason, stifle a cry while he’s just sitting at the desk. He never knew why. Edwin finally explains, decades after the first time Charles asked:
Edwin can still feel his previous bodies. They’re dead, yes, but so is the one he’s in. They’re still his, and they’re just as alive as any of him.
He could still feel the previous body being ripped apart even as the new one was already running.
And even now, on a different plane, sometimes he can feel his arm being stepped on, his leg being gnawed on. More distant than it was in Hell, but still there.
Hell’s punishment is eternal, after all.
Inescapable.

One of my favorite things about Abigail Rook is that she doesn’t sacrifice her femininity as she continues her detective work. She mentions, during her ventures to Antarctica, dressing as a boy to better fit in. It was a matter of necessity, only giving her freedom enough to get her on the boat. But, when later presented with a choice while working for Jackaby and eventually encountering Nellie, Abigail chooses to be proud of who she is, including being a woman. She doesn’t see it as something holding back her career - granted it is the 1800’s so gender roles are still prevalent - but something to accept and embrace. I think she strong and brave and picks the path she knows is best for her, and she does it in a way that doesn’t put others down and I love it and I love her

Loving that this is how I find out about the live action :)
I told myself I wasn't gonna draw them again until the 10 year anniversary but the news about the live action movie put them in my brain again. they're a good lineup of characters it's literally not my fault
