❛ 𝐼𝑇 𝐴𝐼𝑁’𝑇 𝐹𝐸𝐴𝑅, trust me. This every day shit ? Doesn’t compare t’ what I’ve already been through. ❜
❛ AND WHAT EXACTLY HAVE YOU BEEN THROUGH? ❜ It was far more than a simple question; he was actually curious. Though, for how long that curiosity would last? That was up for debate.

“They are also destructive. Highly Destructive. Don’t forget that.”

@musaxpersonat asked: “Is there more to this story?” ( amos )
“There is more to every story. It’s just a matter of whom you truly believe. Myself or someone far... lesser. It’s your choice, completely.”

astra only barely repressed the eye roll that was her gut instinct. “alriiiight, but if you get any weird looks, don’t say i didn’t tell you so.”
“again,” he says sharply. “i don’t need comments from people from the surface! they may give me odd looks, but they lack perspective of things greater than them.”

“Hmm. I’d never thought of it in that way.” The doctor mused to himself in thought, having never come across someone who hailed from… elsewhere. “As opposed to what, exactly? Living below them? Is that really where you come from?”
“You breathe air only, do you not?” Maybe he shouldn’t have assumed such a thing, but Orm knew that the surface consisted of mostly those who did. To find someone who didn’t? Well, that would put a damper on his original assumptions. “I am Atlantean,” he says sharply, as if that would answer the question.

“A film? Oh.” Seine had spent some time with the humans – or air-breathers, as Orm called them – so she was familiar with some of the things they did. She still found the humans strange, if not cruel sometimes. “And they portrayed sharks as mean creatures? Horrible.” She glanced at the small school of sharks in the distance and smiled at their antics. They were fierce in battle, yes, but they were just defending their territory. “Well, it looks like your introduction’s ready. But…it might catch your brother’s attention if they start screaming about an ‘Ocean Master with a shark’.” When she went on land, there had been no fanfare. It was as if she had been a part of the humans for years. “Unless you want him to know what you’re doing.”
“Yes, they fear what they don’t understand, and then they attack it.” Or in this case, make films about Sharks attacking people, but he supposed that was Humanity. If they put half of an effort into keeping their sea’s clean --- perhaps they would be worth while, but of course, they had chosen not to. Instead, opting to destroying, and polluting their world in an effort to come close to what the people of Atlantis had in the first dynasty when the kingdoms were one.
It was, for the most part, an idiotic attempt, but one that in some way Orm could understand. Grasping for something greater was quite natural, but the problem was that there was far more destruction than development. It was something they’d never understand... not even when it would bring them to the brink of annihilation.
“Horrible is just one way to put it, but they are... terrible. They do what they want, never care about the consequences, and usually they blame each other for their failings.” They were both similar and different than his own people, but they were also far more dangerous as well.
“My brother, for all that he is, can’t see the flaws of the surface. He’s lived among them for far too long, but,” he trails off for a moment. “They won’t scream about the Ocean Master if they are dead, will they?”
