Today we will talk about SCP 745 - The headlights. The headlights are raptor looking creatures with an all black body except for the head which can flash colors, it has no visible eyes it’s head consisting of the lights and a mouth. This SCP hunts in duos at night, because they hunt exclusive in pairs when running at cars they look like a cars head lights. They can run up to 111 mph in complete synchronization so it really sells it they run at the speeds fast enough to catch up to the cars then enable them by running them off the road or making them pull over in fear; the duo with then split up to kill their prey from opposite sides of the car. In every event they’ve successfully killed and gotten away is SCP has left nothing behind of the victim nothing but their shoes. However it appears these creatures or not carbon based life forms like up or any creature on earth so they have no gain to killing other then sport as no protein could ever be gained, it is not understood why they do this it is suspected to be a sport of some kind for them; it is also not understood where they live as no den of these creatures has ever been found not even offspring has been found

All snakes are descendants of lizards somehow but about 15 million years ago a string of snakes took a different path and adapted to the sea. Interestingly sea snakes are far more venomous than land snakes, the hook nosed sea snake is considered the most venomous snake in the world With just 1.5 milligrams of its venom being able to kill 22 people. This venom evolved to face the challenges of under the sea living. The slippery marine prey needs to be taken fast with efficiency and the venom needed to overcome the dilution of water; sea snakes fangs are also larger and set farther back allowing them to trap down harder on their prey

Iron is the second least expensive element on the periodic table, behind carbon. Iron is a brittle element being able to be broken by squeezing it. However, when mixed with low amounts of carbon it becomes stronger and anti-corrosive. Scandinavians in the Iron Age only had access to low quality iron so to fix this they used ground up bones of their ancestors hoping making the iron stronger and hoping the spirits of their ancestors would inhabit the sword and aid them in battle. It worked not in the way they were hoping as it introduced carbon to the iron and created crude steel.

So SCP 049 in a humanoid like anomaly that is considered to be an Elucid class entity. It appears to be a French-English type of creature that enjoys medicine how ever it’s methods of healing aren’t quite sound; He wants to cure all that he considers to have the “pestilence” which it hasn’t been exactly said what makes someone part of the pestilence but he has an intuition on who is and isn’t. He isn’t an aggressive anomaly unless provoked or finds someone with pestilence, he will then become hostile and hard to contain; hence the Elucid class ranking. He charges towards their throat takes off and grabs it which kills them he then proceeds to work on them. The surgeries are immoral and often just result in something called 049-2. Now 049-2s are just reanimated corpses that can be commanded by 049 it does not appear that 049-2s retain any past memories or understandings they have basic motor function and don’t attack unless provokes or told to do so. These beings are often taken away and put down by the SCP foundation but these specimens are considered to be “cured” by 049.

So acorn weevils live all over like everywhere and it’s so cool, so they eat acorns as you could guess but they also lay their eggs in them. So what they do is they dig into the soft part of the acorn by the top part then the weevils lay their eggs in acorns so when they hatch the weevil larva spends its time eating the nut flesh. When the acorn falls the grub knows it’s time to dig out. Squirrels with avoid ones with holes because they know there’s no acorn flesh and it’s dirty. They do this to many acorns because can’t put all your eggs in one basket.. now it’s not confirmed if the top of the acorn is rlly softer it’s hard to figure it out but it’s what we assume because they always lay eggs by the top
