Lines in the Sand by Jim Denevan

A sand artist and surfer Jim Denevan from Santa Cruz, California, creates temporary drawings on sand and earth, that are eventually erased by waves and weather. What started as a hobby over 20 years ago has resulted in worldwide recognition. These drawings range in scale from smaller beach compositions to large scale land works the size of a city. Jim’s artwork is performed primarily outside in California but also many other locations around the world.

The Art of  Marcelo Gallegos

Marcelo Gallegos is an artist and illustrator currently living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. He spent the last 10 years or so living in Chicago, New York, and China.

I have a passion for world-building and storytelling – probing the depths of imaginary places, exploring their forgotten corners, and putting my findings onto the page. Narrative, mythos, and character are all crucial to my work.

My technique uses thoughtful mark-making to render exquisite detail, and creates a lush and atmospheric tone through dense textures and otherworldly color palettes.
