Yeah I don’t understand why people tie their internet selves to their rl selves. Like everything you post should be unable to hurt you but it is way easier to say “I am actually atheist/gay/new religion/supporting this political party” online and then confess to your family, than worry about your family finding it before you say anything because that’s your rl account. Or spreading the word about your cause and then worrying about your boss finding out. However stuff like “bruh Cindy is soooo stupid like she totally spilled coffee on me, this morning on May 15th 2020, at 3 pm” is probably going to hurt you regardless. I don’t want to speak about people in a lot of detail. I want to speak vaguely about the world.

Other things, passwords: make them memorable but not too simple. I do not suggest the word Spaghetti as a password. 5pAgHett1 is probably fine though. You need to write it down though, maybe type it in a few times to get muscle memory and never use the same password from your Pinterest for your bank account. Incorrect? Probably not a good idea since hackers can find words. A mixture of the Spanish word for incorrect and the English word incorrect? Sure. A mixture of false and incorrect? Great. Your passwords are babies that might grow up insecure about their names, so don’t name it Kyd. Your password is going to be 20 years old eventually, so do you really want to make it DeezNutz? Your password is going to be looked up amongst others so do you want a common name? You can change the name, yeah but do you really want to mix up the old name and the new name and do you really want insecurity? The only difference is, in this analogy, you want something they can’t pronounce because you’re hoping no one has the chance to pronounce it. If your password does not look like an ugly internet link, consider changing it.

Also, terrible people exist which may not be a shock to some of you but it needs to be said for those who don’t. To minors, your parents probably love you. They probably want you to tell them if something really bad happens, online or offline. Tell them if that’s the case. If something bad happens and they don’t care, you can leave when you’re eighteen but first find a hotline related to your situation, for your country. There are cases when having a long distance friendship is cool but until you know what red flags to look out for and have a strong support system, don’t think about direct messaging. But if you are finally ready to dm and if you dm someone, please make it clear what kind of relationship you want, be it professional or friendship and clarify the line. (Don’t talk about your foot fetish around me.) Leave if they ever cross the line. If you can’t imagine telling your mom that you are in a tough spot or having someone not like you, stay offline. It’s okay to not have an online life, I know a lot of people like that. And if you were dming someone and they just stopped talking, it doesn’t reflect badly on you as a person.

I’m sorry about the long lecture, please correct me if I’m wrong about anything or you can think of anything better. If there are any typos, it is late which reminds me, time zones can identify your country of origin or in large countries like Russia and the US, your region, so if you’re not comfortable sharing your country or region, don’t share the time. If you’ve said your British already, go nuts but if you are American and you have not specified that you are from Seattle, don’t. Hope this helps someone because I have no clue how long it took me to write this.

As someone who was a kid, for many years, I can tell you right now that if I were on that show, I would eat something like liver and onions, nod in approval, rate it 7/10, and then ten years later, after every vote was cast, I’d say something like, “that liver was undercooked.”

CNN calling him a dictator isn’t going to shock anyone they are left leaning. No what surprises me is

Sure I’ll sum up.

So there was a very good peaceful protest by…. Lafayette Park? Right outside the White House. They were chanting, they had multiple reporters in the crowd, it was fucking CHILL, people were waiting for Trump to do a speech in the Rose Garden.

Then, out of nowhere, truly NOWHERE, the cops closed in from three directions and threw gas into the crowd. They used rubber bullets on the crowd IMMEDIATELY. One dude told the reporter “They don’t care about new, move.” They drove out the totally fucking peaceful, pre-curfew protestors.

They moved them all out, and Trump started speaking, and you could hear the fucking gas going off over his speech. CNN fucking did a splitscreen to show the peopple being shoved back as the motherfucker stood up there and said he would protect our rights and would mobilize the military against people.

Then back to the reporters, and everyone was forced further and further away. One woman on a bike told the reporter “They are getting the water cannons ready, you wanna move.”

TURNS OUT.

ALL OF THIS.

WAS BECAUSE TRUMP WANTED A PHOTO OP AT THE CHURCH ACROSS THE STREET. HE WANTED THEM OUT OF THE WAY SO HE COULD STAND WITH A BIBLE IN FRONT OF A CHURCH.

Even CNN is calling him a dictator, at 7PM.

Then the Illinois governor came out and called him a racist, xenophobic, misogynistic failure.

Rapunzel literally broke her quarantine for a light show.

Needless to say this is correct, Rapunzel is Queen of Corona because she’d spread it. The girl left for a light show. Also Flynn is the King because he:

• broke into someone’s house and took her outside

• cut her hair when she could have helped others (sound familiar?)

• condemned an elderly woman to death

But let’s talk about Elsa.

• wears gloves

• stays inside for the majority of her time

• literally never touches anyone

• only hurts Anna because Anna refuses to stay away and makes Elsa feel worse

• makes an entire house

• makes a dress

• does makeup

• creates life

I love tangled and honestly Rapunzel is one of my favorites because even though she’s been through a lot with being kidnapped and everything she’s still nice and optimistic. And Flynn Rider really is just white Aladdin but he has a likable personality. I also liked Frozen because even though I hated the twist everything up to that point actually wasn’t that bad. And I sang that damn let it go song it’s catchy leave me alone.

But you all want to relate it to isolation so here we go.

I hate how people are calling rapunzel the queen of self isolation when Elsa literally has a song where she says “a kingdom of isolation and it looks like I’m the queen” and actually self isolated whereas rapunzel was kidnapped and not allowed to be around people and conditioned to think that people will try to hurt her for her magic hair

Furthermore, although I like the term parallel, I feel like this example is more of a trope.

A trope is any specific device like crouching moron hidden badass or friends turned lovers which is used to better achieve a purpose. The crouching moron trope makes the audience laugh while still retaining the awesomeness of a character. The friends turned lovers trope makes the love seem wholesome.

And the trope of “I’m a magical destiny kid who is sick of being led by magical destiny stuff rather than my own free will” makes the character seem more realistic.

I still like the term parallel though. We should strictly define it as a similarly structured scene in a story though. Like when Frodo goes back to the Shire and it’s not the same. A parallel should not be Harry Potter and Percy both go to a magic place for long periods of time and regularly defeat minions of a bad guy. A parallel should seem even the slightest bit intentionally used to improve the story. Like some of the things everyone brings up to acknowledge hard work down by the creators of their favorite shows that’s beautiful that you acknowledge hard work but please don’t say a creator intentionally mimicked a work as that is plagiarism.

No. No, it is not parallelism.

If you have taken one SECOND of an English class, one day of a proper literature analysis class you would know that this is not even your idea of parallelism.

Parallelism refers to sentence structure. Anything used in a successive manner like the “I want to dance and I want to sing.” Or “She wants to dance. He wants to sing.” It is literally just similar sentence structures and the placement of verbs.

But the “fandom parallelism” concept is mostly allusions, tropes and full circles. The above image is more of a callback if it even is intentional. A callback is referring to something that happened earlier but if someone has a better term, I want to know it.
