SE: How do you describe the home you returned to and captured in these images geographically, physically, emotionally, and energetically?
Geographically my home in Nigeria is located in the Southeast region of the country. We stayed in Owerri, Imo State, and in my Father’s Village also in Imo State. We have a large family home on a secured compound in my father's village that we stayed in which was very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing.

In Owerri, we stayed in an investment property my mom built. There were more people around in Owerri but it was still a rather quiet location. It was surprising to get to see the house in my father’s village for the first time.

I had heard so much about it and just the sheer scale of the property was nothing like I have ever experienced before so I was very much in awe. There were always relatives and family friends stopping by to speak to my mom and meet me so there was a lot of energy all the time but after a while, I got used to it and felt less shy and self-conscious.
