I am so sad with how quick Alexa and Katie went this final season. They skipped around to the important parts but we barely got to see them just “be.” As soon as Katie and aiden were together they time skipped and they are breaking up?
I wish they paced themselves especially if this actually is the last season.
I personally saw a lot of flaws in the beginning seasons but through this season you really saw the girls grow and I wish we could have seen more if that.

Alexa and Katie
Okay but when Aiden helps Katie with her panic attack, that was extremely well done and someone who has had panic attacks before I just gotta say it was well executed.

Alexa and Katie
More rants comingggg
ALEXA gets so jealous that she ruins KATIES play and KATIE ends up APOLOGIZING. But when Katie gets jealous she doesn’t get to be jealous because she doesn’t feel what it’s like to be stared at or be bald or have cancer. And to an extent that’s true, Katie doesn’t know what it’s like to have cancer. What’s true is that KATIE shaved her head for ALEXA and protected ALEXA and didn’t tell everyone Alexa actually had cancer when they thought Katie had cancer.
So yeah, Alexa never actually said only her hospital friends get I because of the cancer she said they get it because of the stares which Katie gets.
Okay I am done :)

Alexa and Katie
Katie is a much better friend than Alexa and it annoys me so much. Alexa takes advantage of her friendship and Katie always comes back and apologizes even though Alexa’s in the wrong.
Also it’s basically gmw but with cancer.

GOING TO DISNEY // HEADCANON
Multi-Couple: Joshaya, Riarkle
Joshaya:
Before Riley and Farkle run away to do their own thing, Maya and Josh force them to take those cute tumblr Disney couple photos that every couple seems to have
And that night after they’re back in their hotel you know they will be posting all of them with cute, yet cheesy, captions
Josh and Maya are very adventurous so you know they are doing every single roller coaster at least three times, only stopping to stuff their faces with Dole Pineapple Whip and Mickey Mouse shaped pretzels
Maya eventually spots the Little Mermaid ride which she just has to go on because Ariel was her favorite Disney Princess but Josh is a little weary about going on it
Maya assumes he just doesn’t wanna be seen on such a kiddish ride and forces him to anyways.
Not five minutes into the ride is he holding-gripping-her arm.
“What do you mean you have a fish phobia? How did I not know you had a fish phobia?”
After they’ve finished all the rides they finally decide to go around to visit all the characters. You can’t go to Disney without visiting all the characters, it’s like against the law
After an hour they’re camera roll is full of selfies with the different princesses and princes.
They even get Rapunzel to teach them to smolder like Flynn
Maya obviously captions that photo, “Looks like I found my own thief” and he captions a photo of Maya as, “Now I know why Rapunzel was locked in the tower, the world couldn’t handle her beauty”
Because although they both act super tuff, they are cheesy romantics at heart
After a day of adventures they meet back up with Riley and Farkle to watch the fireworks.
Fiarkle:
After ditching Joshaya, Farkle and Riley decide to meet all the characters first. Riley was very excited and starstruck when she first walked into the Princess Hallway.
While Riley was bubbly and asked cute questions, Farkle made it his mission to try and ask them the most outrageous questions to test their improv skills
Riley ended up dragging him away while apologizing to the Princess (but she was smiling so Farkle knew she wasn’t made)
At the end of the day Riley and Farkle had a lot of scenery pictures to post with a couple of pictures of Riley that Farkle took without her realizing.
Riley does force him to take a couple selfies that don’t turn out the best because either Riley is laughing or Farkle is talking but she still loves them the most
After they’ve finished up with characters and gone on a few different rides they make it their mission to try every food they can, by the time their done it’s almost time for fireworks

JOSHAYA//OFFICER BOING
Prompt: maya being a street artist and Josh being a rookie cop. I got this prompt on @gmwproblems page so go check it out.
Maya
“I really want you to meet my uncle,” Riley says, falling onto my bed and giving me her best puppy dogs eyes. “I am sick and tired of this dorm room and he’s coming over for dinner tonight so we should both get out of here. It’ll be fun.”
“Oh yeah, meeting another Mr Matthews will be really fun,” Maya snorts, grabbing her bag and stuffing some of the paints that were laying around her side of the room into it.
“Maya,” Riley whines sitting up. “He’s really cool, I promise. He’s only like a couple years older then us too. Please! I am going crazy in this dorm room.”
“Then you can go and I can stay here,” I replies, slipping on my studded combat boots and matching leather jacket.
“Maya, it’ll be more fun with you. All you have to do is eat and then we can sit at the baywindow like the good old days,” she says, grabbing Maya’s hand. “Please. Please. Please. Pleaaaasseeee?”
I looked down at Riley and sighed, making her squeal with excitment. “I haven’t said yes, yet,” I mutter, but she’s already launched herself off my bed and thrown her arms around me.
“I know that look, you were going to say yes,” she says, letting me go from her tight embrace. “You won’t regret it.”
“I hope not, now if you excuse me I have...art class,” I lie swiftly, stepping around her and exiting the dorm. I take a deep breath as I exit the building, I loved the New York air. Most people hated it because it smelled like smoke and whatever food truck was on the corner of the street but all I could smell was creativity.
I make my way to the back of the park near our dorm and towards the back of it where no one every went. There was a brick wall that the local artists would take turns spray painting and I finally got up the courage to showcase my art on it.
I took one of the cans out of my bag and got to work.
Josh
“Ah, don’t worry about it Joshie, soon you’ll get a real crime and all that training will be worth it,” Andrew, my partner, says from his desk across from mine, he was currently shoving his face with donuts. Way to be a stereotypical cop.
I continue clicking my pen in frustration, I had been on the job for three months and so far all I’ve been doing was going around giving parking tickets. Maybe I should have been a teacher like my brother.
“Matthews,” I look up startled out of my thoughts by the chief standing over me.
I sit up straight and salute him and then instantly regret that decision and put my hand back down on my desk awkward. Andrew barks out a laugh and then starts chocking on a donut. Serves him right. “Yeah boss?” I say finally.
“There’s a 411 down at Rosemont park, why don’t you check it out?” He says gruffly, not even giving me a second glance as he turns and gives Andrew and assignment. 411? That meant vandalism. I stand up quickly grabbing my badge and jacket.
“You go get ‘em, Joshie,” Andrew calls after me but I was too excited to care.
I walk through the park, looking at all the children playing on the parks and parents sitting on blankets nearby. Didn’t look like anyone was vandalizing anything. I walk towards the back of the park and spot a short blonde spray painting a brick wall. This was going to be easy. “Miss,” I call out as I walk closer to her.
“Yeah?” she says, not looking back at me as she continues on her piece that looked to be a purple blob...or maybe it was a purple cat?
“You do realize you’re vandalizing government property, right?” I say, crossing my arms.
“I don’t see any cops around, do you- shoot,” she says, turning around and taking in my uniform. “This isn’t what it looks like.”
“Oh really, cause it looks like your spray painting a wall that you don’t own,” I retort. “I am going to have to bring you down to the station.”
“Really? No warning? This is my first offence, Officer....,” she searchers my uniform for my name tag but I forgot to grab it before leaving so I open my mouth to tell her Matthews but she interrupts me, “Boing.”
“That’s not my last name,” I retort, then shake my head I would not be having this conversation right now. “It won’t take long if you cooperate.”
She reaches down and grabs her bag, “Lead the way, Officer Boing.”
Three Hours Later
Maya
I burst through the Matthew’s apartment door out of breath, she ran her all the way from the subway. “Sorry I am late, you will not believe where I just came from. Shawn's going to be- Officer Boing,” I stop my rambling when I spot the Officer from earlier standing in the living room next to Auggie and Riley.
“Maya, this is my Uncle Josh,” Riley says, looking between us confused. “Do you two know each other?”
“Yeah, he arrested me earlier,” I reply, smirking slightly. This just go a whole lot more interesting.
“Wait, this is the hot blonde you were telling me abo-,” Auggie’s cut off when Josh covers his mouth quickly.
Mr Matthew lets out a bark of a laughter as he points between the two of us. “You arrested her and Ha! Shawn’s going to kill you, Maya! Wait! Officer Boing? NO WAY IS SHE BECOMING MY SISTER IN LAW!”
Bonus: Two years later, Josh takes her back to the spot and proposes to her.

JOSH AND ANDREW BROMANCE //
Prompt by @forget-the-reason - Josh all shy about asking Maya to be his girlfriend and Andrew making fun of him but helping in the end. (A/N- I kinda changed it to be more Josh and Andrew and not Joshaya so if you don’t like it I can re-write it)
Josh
“Dude, are you okay?” Andrew asks, looking up from his laptop and glaring at Josh. “I am trying to write a paper here and you’re pacing is really distracting.”
“Sorry,” he says, putting a hand through his hair in frustration, and falling down onto bed with a loud sigh. “It’s just- I’m uh-I am meeting Maya at this art thing in an hour.”
“Okay?” Andrew says, but it comes out more of a question then a statement. “Ever since she got accepted to NYU you guys have been hanging out like every night, what’s different about tonight?”
“I am asking her to be my girlfriend,” Josh says, beginning to pace again.
“Wait, you guys aren’t already dating?” Andrew asks, closing his laptop and spinning in his chair to face Josh who stops pacing long enough to glare at him. “Okay, fine, why are you so nervous. She’s Maya and you’re Josh. Together you’re Josh and Maya. Joshaya.”
“Joshaya? Really,” he retorts. “Why shouldn’t I be nervous. She could say no.”
“Why would she say no? Hasn’t she been in love with you since middle school? She’s probably wondering why you haven’t asked her yet,” Andrew replies. “Just relax man.”
“Yeah, I mean, she’s made it obvious she still likes me,” Josh says. “I guess it’s not a big deal. It’ll be fine. I just gotta be cool.”
“Yup, there’s nothing worse than asking someone something important like this and getting word vomit. Have you practiced what your going to say?” Andrew asks, and chuckles when Josh visually pales.
“I didn’t even think about that! I was just planning on winging it!” Josh groans, running a hand through his hair in frustration. “Now I am going to end up sounding like a babbling idiot!”
“When do you not sound like a babbling idiot?” Andrew asks, crossing his arms and smirking at Josh. Was it bad that he was enjoying this? “She’s known you since you were young right? That means she’s seen you pre-puberty and still liked you and trust me that’s love. I’ve seen pictures of you as a kid and that was ruff.”
“True, she did know me when I was covered in acne and had braces- how is this helping?” Josh mutters, opening his closet and going through his clothes.
“What are you doing now?” Andrew asks, sitting forward, it was fun watching Josh but he should be leaving to get Maya soon. “What your wearing is fine. Just relax. She likes you. You like her. Your going to grow up and get married and have a million kids and live happily ever after.”
“I will not have a million kids,” Josh retorts, “Two or three at most...maybe four. Maya was an only child and she always wanted a sibling and they would look like Maya obviously, maybe one or two of them can have my hair-,”
“See?” Andrew says interrupting Josh’s rant. “You guys are perfect. Now go before your late.”
“You’re right,” Josh says determined, grabbing his coat off his bed. “Wish me good luck.”
“Good luck,” Andrew replies rolling his eyes as he turns back to face his computer. A couple hours later, and two research papers finished, Josh came stumbling through the door with a stupid grin on his face.
“She said yes,” he says, practically falling onto his bed with a happy sigh. Andrew looked over at his friend and in that moment he was a little jealous of his friends happiness. “Thanks man, I don’t know if I would have gone through with it if it wasn’t for you.”
“It’s what friend’s are for,” Andrew says, “But I better be a groomsman in your wedding.”
5 years later
“I am coming, geez,” Andrew yelled, walking down the hallway of his apartment towards his door where someone was banging on the door. It was one in the morning who could it be? He opened the door ready to yell at whoever was at the door. “What do you-Josh?”
“Hey,” he says, meekly, walking past Andrew and into his apartment. “I need your help.”
“If you need help breaking into NYU library again because you left your laptop inside then you’ll have to find someone else because I left my breaking and entering days in the passed when I graduated.”
“No, I need your help with something else,” Josh says, shoving his hands in his pockets and then pulling out a small black box and opening it.
“Man, I know we were roommates and everything but we need to go on a date before you propose,” Andrew jokes, grabbing the box and looking at the ring. “So have you popped the question to Maya?”
Josh shakes his head and begins to pace. “So you’ll help me pop the question?”
“It’s what friends are for,” Andrew smiles, handing the ring back to Josh. “I definitely get to be a groomsman now.”

JOSHAYA // THE END
All I can say is… Please don’t hate me
Maya
Three Months Before
“Get away from me,” Maya spat out angrily, ripping her arm away from her boyfriend, Alex. “I can’t- just get out and take your stuff.”
“Maya, it was an accident!” Alex pleaded, reaching out of touch her arm again but she pulled it away quickly and glared at him. “She didn’t mean anything to me.”
“It was an accident that you cheated on me?” Maya snarls, fighting the erge to cry in front of him. She would not let him see her break. “Grab a bag and put as much stuff as you can in it and get out or I am calling the police.”
Alex’s shoulder slouch in defeat. “Okay,” he finally says after awhile. “I’ll send David over tomorrow to grab the rest of my stuff.” He disappears into the bedroom. Maya watches him go and then locks herself in the bathroom, not letting the tears fall until she can hear the click of the front door and that’s when she falls to the ground broken.
Josh
Three Months Before
“Three months,” Josh repeated out loud as he walked down the crowded streets of New York, the people walking by seemed to be in a blur as Josh stared straight ahead. He reached his apartment and opened the door the smell of dinner meeting him.
“Josh, is that you?” Anna calls out, she smiles when she sees him enter the kitchen. “How was work?”
Josh ignores the questions and blurts, “I think we should break up,” each word breaking his heart a little more.
Anna’s face falls and she searches his face for a sign that he’s joking. “But- why? We just got this place together. Did I do something?” she asks frantically, moving over to him and reaching out for him. He takes a step back and looks down at the ground. She didn’t do anything, he was doing this for her protection.
“Anna, please, just don’t fight me on this,” he says, his voice cracking.
Anna nods slowly and then turns on her heel and goes into the bedroom silently. Josh walks over to the counter and bangs his fist onto it angrily. Why was this happening to him? He didn’t want to hurt her.
“Dinners in the oven. I hope you have a good life,” Anna says, when she emerged from the bedroom wheeling two suitcases. “I’ll have my sister pick up the rest sometime this week.” That’s the last thing she said before leaving. He could hear her crying down the hall.
He swore under his breath feeling horrible about this. Better she got over it now then later. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out the black box holding the engagement ring. He was planning to propose that night. He set it on the counter and walked into the bedroom silently, the pain numbing him completely.
Maya
Two Months Before
“You promised me you could babysit tonight!” Maya says, as she frantically walks around her apartment trying to get ready to go. She had a very important interview tonight to work at a local art museum.
“I know, I am sorry, but Ricky-,” Maya rolls her eyes when her best friend mentions her joke of a boyfriend. “got us on a list for this new club tonight. You know he could add you if you wanna go!”
“I can’t, Cassie! I have an interview! You promised me you could come tonight and watch her!” Maya says, sitting down on the couch.
“Why can’t Alex? He doesn’t work tonight,” Cassie says, Maya can hear the snap of her bubble gum which makes her want to strangle Cassie.
“I haven’t heard from Alex since I’ve kicked him out. He obviously doesn’t want a relationship with his daughter,” Maya snaps. “Nevermind, have fun.” she hangs up the phone without another word. “I guess I am not going tonight.”
“Momma?” Lee, her daughter, asks crawling onto Maya’s lap.” Are you sad?”
Maya smiles down at her daughter. “Of course not, I’ve got you.” she says, “Why don’t you go pick out a movie for us to watch? Make it a good one, okay?”
“Okay mommy!” Lee cheers, running over to the shelf with the DVDs. Maya scrolls through her phone until she gets to a contact she hasn’t used in forever. She pauses and takes a deep breath before clicking call.
“Maya? Are you okay?” the voice of her old best friend makes her sigh in relief. She can hear the worry laced in her friends voice.
“Riley, I need your help. Can you come over?” Maya asks, but the pleading in her voice makes her cringe.
“Of course, I’ll be there soon,” Riley says, before hanging up. Ten minutes later the doorbell rings and Maya rushes over to answer it.
“Hey,” Maya says, when she sees Riley standing there. “Thank you so much for coming.”
“I am glad I could help. I haven’t seen your daughter since-,” Riley stops talking and bites her lip. They both knew she didn’t need to finish that sentence. They hadn’t spoken since Maya found out about being pregnant. Maya thought she should marry Alex so Lee could have a father figure and Riley thought it was a bad idea. Riley was right, Maya thought.
“She’s in the living room,” Maya says, leading her into the room. Lee was sitting on the couch, playing with her dolls.
“Are you ready to watch a movie?” she asks in her sweet baby voice.
“She looks just like you,” Riley says with a smile as she sits down next to Lee. “Hi! My names Riley! I am going to hang out with you while your mom goes to work, is that okay?”
“Riley? My names Riley! But Momma calls me Lee for short!” Lee says, with a smile. Riley looks up at me in shock.
“Um, there’s food in the fridge if your hungry. Lee has already ate,” Maya says quickly. “I should get going. Thank you again.”
“Maya, really, I am glad to help. No need to keep thanking me,” Riley says, with a comforting smile.
Josh
Two Months Before
“Family! I didn’t feel like driving all the way to my apartment so I am crashing here!” His niece yells as she walks into the Matthews apartment, the one that used to hold so many good memories. Now going to be filled with bad ones, thanks to him. She stops when she sees him and her parents sitting on the couch. “Josh? Why are you here.”
“He came over because-,” Topanga says, but her voice cracks and she quickly rushes out of the room.
“What’s going on?” Riley asks, worried as she takes Topangas place on the couch. Josh frowns and looks down at the ground. He’s already broken to many peoples hearts tonight, he couldn’t tell his niece. Not yet, at least.
“Your mom’s allergies have just been acting up,” Cory says quickly and Josh sends him a smile in appreciation. “So why were you all the way over here?”
“Oh, someone asked me to babysit tonight and I couldn’t turn it down,” she says, sending a look over at Josh. Even though Josh was looking down he could see the look. “I am beat so I am going to go to bed.”
He watched as she got up and went to go to her childhood room. “There’s nothing you can do?” Cory asks, finally. Josh simply shakes his head.
“If you don’t mind, I think I am just going to use the bathroom and then crash here,” he says to his brother who nods. He gets up and makes his way down the hallway but passes the bathroom and goes into his nieces room. She was sitting on the bay window deep in thought. “You haven’t sat there in awhile.”
Riley looks up at her uncle in surprise. “Yeah, it’s been awhile. It feels right,” she says.
“Were you babysitting for her?” Josh asks, sitting down next to her. He knew that he didn’t need to say her name fore Riley to get it.
“Yes,” Riley states, not giving anymore information. She was going to make him work for it.
“Was she okay?” he asks, promising himself that that would be the last thing he asked. He didn’t need anymore heartbreak today.
“She’s doing well, not great but good.” Riley says, and then says what he’s been wondering for months. “She’s not with him anymore. He cheated on her.”
Maya
Life was looking up. She got the job and her and Riley were repairing their friendship. She was actually on her way to the Matthews for dinner. She looked in the mirror as she pulled down her dress. It was a simple burgundy gown that flowed to her knees. She paired it was a jean jacket and black boots.
“Bye mommy!” Lee says, when Maya entered the kitchen. She was sitting at the kitchen table coloring with a girl across the street who Maya hired to babysit Lee.
“Bye sweetie! Call me if anything happens, okay?” she says to Caroline.
“You go it, Ms Hart! By the way you look amazing!” Caroline says with a smile.
~
“Maya! It’s so good to see you!” Topanga says pulling her into a hug. “I’ve missed you so much. How are you?”
“I am great,” Maya smiled, finally telling the truth when she said that. “How are you?”
“Oh, we’re good, same old same old,” she says, pulling Maya into the apartment and shutting the door. “How’s you daughter? Next time you need to bring her, okay? Riley says she looks just like you.”
“She does. She’s the best,” Maya says, looking around the room. Riley and Auggie were setting the table which reminded her of when they were kids. “Where’s Cory?”
Just then the door opened and Cory walked in, “Look who I stumbled upon and decided to bring home,” he says, as Josh walks in behind him.
“Maya,” Josh says breathlessly, pausing mid stride. “I didn’t realize you were going to be here. I can go back to my apartment.”
“No!” Maya says a little too loudly and a little too quickly. “I mean you shouldn’t have to leave just because of me. This is your family.”
Josh smiles at her and she smiles back as if they are the only two in the room. Cory claps drawing them back into reality. “Okay, well that’s settled. Let’s eat!”
After dinner, they were all sitting in the living room sharing stories about the pat and what was going on in their lives when Maya’s phone rang. “Caroline, what’s wrong?” she asks answering the phone, trying to calm the girl down who was talking very quickly on the other side of the line. “Oh my gosh. Ok, I’ll be there soon.”
“Maya, what’s wrong?” Riley asks, standing up and following her friend to the door who was grabbing her coat and slipping on her shoes.
“It’s Lee, she’s in the hospital, I need to go. Shoot, I walked,” Maya says, frantically, opening her wallet to see if she had any cash to get a taxi of course not. Where were her credit cards? Lee must have taken them out when she was playing with her wallet earlier.
“Okay, Maya, just calm down. You can take our car,” Topanga says, grabbing the keys and handing them to her. “You shouldn’t be driving though um-”
“I’ll take her,” Josh volunteers quickly, grabbing the keys from Topanga and grabbing Maya’s hand with the other hand and pulling her out of the apartment without another word.
When they got to the hospital, Maya rushed to the front desk. “Hi, my daughter Lee Hart, was brought in earlier this evening.”
The nurse typed something on the computer, “She’s in room 103B,” she says, Maya turns to leave. Josh following her. “I am sorry, are you family?”
“No, but he’s with me,” Maya says, before Josh can say anything.
“I am sorry he has to stay here,” the nurse says.
Maya looks at Josh. “Thank you for bringing me.”
“I’ll be right here,” he responds before she rushes down the hall to see her daughter.
~
“Is she okay?” Josh asks, handing Maya a coffee when she comes back out in the waiting area.
She nods tiredly. “She’s sleeping now. She’ll be okay,” she says after taking a sip of the coffee. She sets it on the table and puts her head in her hands. “She’s allergic to hazelnut, which was in the brownies they made tonight. I am such a horrible mom.”
“No your not,” Josh states. “This could of happened to anyone. You were here for her and that’s what makes you a good mom.”
“Thanks,” Maya says, sitting up and putting her head on Josh’s shoulder tiredly. She just wanted to come out here and tell him he could go but she felt safe with him near. “I am sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry, I am glad I could help,” he says.
“No, I mean I am sorry for what happened,” she says, referring to their past. “I didn’t want any of that to happen. I was just scared.”
“I know,” Josh says after a minute of silence. “We’re fine now. I am just glad you and Lee are happy. That’s all I’ve ever wanted for you.”
Maya lifts her head, and stares intently at Josh before leaning in and kissing him. She pulls away just as quickly. “I am so sorry,” she says rushed. “I shouldn’t have done that.”
“No, it’s okay. It was good,” he says, cursing himself for just saying ‘good’. Maya lets out a laugh.
“I should get back to her, you should go home and get some sleep,” Maya says.
Josh
One Month Before
“Does Maya know?” Riley asks, wiping the tears from her eyes and sniffling crazily. She couldn’t believe it, she didn’t want to believe it. Josh shakes his head. “You need to tell her. You’ve gotten really close. You and Lee have gotten really close.”
“I know, I just… I can’t,” he says, he could feel himself breaking down. This was the first time he would ever cry about himself about what was happening to him. “I can’t do that to her. She’s finally happy. She’s glowing. I can’t destroy her like that.”
Riley bite her lip. “I know but Lee is three years old. She shouldn’t have to face this.” Riley states, then frowns. “I am sorry, that was horrible for me to say.”
“You’re right,” Josh replies his voice full of emotion. He sits down on her bed. “I don’t want to leave. I don’t want to not see Maya ever again. I love her. I love Lee. Riley, I was okay with what was happening to me but now-,” he bursts into tears and covers her face with his hands.
Riley wraps her arms around him. “I am so so sorry,” she whispers.
“I don’t want to go.”
Maya
Two Weeks Before
“Your spoiling her,” Maya comments, when she sees the giant stuffed animal and the movie he brought for Lee. “She’s running out of room to put all the stuff you’ve been getting her.”
“It’s the least I could do for my favorite girl,” he shrugs, but she can hear a slight sadness in his voice.
She smacked him jokingly in the arm. “I am sorry, I thought I was your favorite girl!” she says, he pulls her into a hug and kisses the top of her head.
“You’re a close second,” he retorts with a smirk.
“Are you okay?” Maya asks, worried about the sadness that is in his voice. Josh opens his mouth when Lee runs over.
“Joshy!” she squeals, jumping up into his arms. He picks her up and gives her a hug. “You didn’t come over last night! I missed you! You come every night!”
Maya notices that he frowns slightly, before smiling at her. “That’s because I was picking out the movie we are going to watch tonight!”
“Excuse you, it’s almost seven!” Maya says, looking at her watch. Lee and Josh turn and give her puppy dog eyes. She signs in annoyance jokingly. “Fine, but this is the only exception!”
“Yay!” Lee squeals, wiggling out of Josh’s arms and running into the living room. Maya and Josh follow her and take their seats next to her. Five minutes into the movie, she’s fast asleep.
“I am going to take her to bed and then maybe we can have some grown up time,” Maya smirks with a wink as she picks up Lee and takes her to her room. When she comes back, Josh had already put away the movie and was looking very nervous.
“You okay?” she asks, taking a seat next to him.
“Um yeah, I just think we should talk,” Josh replies. Maya frowns and raises her eyebrows in a ‘go on’ manner. “I think I should not come every night, I don’t want Lee to get too attached to me. Or you for that matter.”
“What?” Maya asks, confused about what was going on. “You don’t want us getting attached?”
“Yes, I just don’t want anyone to get hurt when-,”
“When what? When you leave us?” Maya asks, standing up angrily but still keeping her voice down so she wouldn’t wake Lee.
“No, Maya, I don’t want to leave but-,”
“You’ve found someone better? Just get out Josh. Save me the pity talk. You don't think we're good enough for you,” Maya interrupts again, making her way towards the door.
“Maya, please, what I am trying to say is-,”
“I know very well what your trying to say,” Maya says, opening the door and pointing for him to leave. He signs and she can see the sorrow on his face. This is what he asked for. He doesn’t say anything else and she shuts the door behind him. She slides down it completely numb from pain, her heart breaking slowly as she thinks about how she’s going to have to tell Lee.
Josh
Two Days Before
“You should go tell her the truth,” Cory says, “She deserves to know whats going on so when you-,”
“Just say it. When I die.” Josh spits out angrily, crossing his arms.
Cory sighs, looking over at his brother who was pacing back and forth. “You’ll regret it if she’s not there when it happens.”
“She doesn’t want to be there and I don’t want her there. I don’t want to see her heartbroken because of me. I don’t want to cause her any pain. I should have stayed out her life. I knew I didn’t have much time left but I decided to get attached to her anyways. I decided to get close to her. I decided to get close to Lee,” Josh says, “Why is this happening to me?”
“Josh, it hasn’t happened yet and you don’t even know if it will. You need to go to her,” Cory says, his heartbreaking for his brothers struggles.
“You’re righ-,” he says, his voice fading. His vision blurring, he felt his arm moving uncontrollably and then he was on the ground. Cory’s face was above his and he was yelling something but Josh didn’t understand what he was saying. That’s when the world went black.
Maya
The Day Of
She sat in her apartment in the dark, Riley had offered to take Lee out for ice cream before the funeral so Maya could have a few minutes alone and Maya graciously said yes. Now she sat in the dark clutching a tissue and a piece of paper in her hands.
She glanced at the tear stained parchment and began to read it.
Dear Josh,
I hate you. I hate that you let me get close to you when you knew you were going to die. I hate that you didn’t tell me you were going to die. I hate that I yelled at you weeks before it happened. I hate how I wasn’t there. I hate how you didn’t let me be there. Riley told me you didn’t want anyone telling me. I hate that this happened to you. I hate that you told everyone but me. I hate that we don’t get to have a future together. I hate you.
But I also love you. A lot. And that’s another reason why I hate you. I love that you let me be apart of the last months of your life. I love how you were with Lee. I love how I knew you loved me and you didn’t even have to say it. I love how I felt safe with you, and I don’t know if I’ll ever feel that safe with anyone. I am honored that you let me be apart of your last weeks, but I wish you told me so I could have been there until the end. Looking back I realize you tried too, you should have made me listen. I should have listened.
I am also sorry. I am sorry for years ago when you gave me the chance to be with you when I found out I was pregnant but I chose Alex because I thought Lee needed her biological father. You would have been so much better.
I am sorry we didn’t get to spend those three years together. I am sorry I was so selfish and I didn’t listen when you tried to tell me. That must have been so hard for you. I am sorry this happened to you. I am sorry we aren’t together anymore.
I will always love you. You’ll always be my first love. I’ll make sure Lee knows who you are. Not now. She’s too young for this kind of heartbreak. But she will know who you were.
I love you,
Maya Hart
P.S Did I mention I love you?
P.S again... I miss you like crazy already...

Send me a prompt
Sorry…..

Multifandom Tag: GMW Edition
Okay so, I am making this tag because it’s already past the time I should of posted a story and I currently have WRITERS BLOCK (which means I am slowly dying inside) I’ve also never made a tag before or even seen a tag (I think) so this will probably be a fail.. Oh well.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Houses Because every Tag needs something HP related
Maya Hart: I struggled with this because Maya is brave and courageous but she’s also ambitious and cunning but I think I am going to have to go with Slytherin
Riley Matthews: She is 110% Hufflepuff, she possess other house traits but I think she’s overall a hufflepuff.
Josh Matthews: I think I am going to to have to go with Gryffindor because he kinda reminds me of James Potter (Senior and Junior) and I could just picture it... idk not very good logic. (Also Slytherin x Gryffindor Joshaya, adorable)
Farkle Minkus: I thought about this a lot and I am going to have to go with Slytherin... JK RAVENCLAW All the way! I could also see him in Slytherin because he’s ambitious.
Lucas Friar: Gryffindor, because he’s always willing to stand up for his friends even if it means he’s going up against someone bigger then him or he has to physically fight them. He’s also very chivalrous
Zay Babineaux: This one I am not really sure about... I could see him in Hufflepuff or Gryffindor but I think I am going to put him in Gryffindor
Smackle: Ravenclaw, was there any other choice?
(This is getting me inspired to write a HP au, message me if you think that’s a good idea)
Divergent: Factions
Maya Hart: I am going to have to go with Dauntless, just because I can picture Maya jumping off that roof no problem!
Riley Matthews: She’s a tuffy because I could see her in Abnegation or Amity. She’s very selfless but also keeps the peace. I think I am going to have to go with Abnegation but it’s a close call.
Josh Matthews: I can’t really see him in any of the factions, but I have to pick one so I think he would most fit in Dauntless
Farkle Minkus: I think this one’s obvious, he’s definitely in Erudite. But he wouldn’t be one of the evil guys
Lucas Friar: I can’t really see his main personality traits going with any of the factions but since I have to pick one I’ll go with Dauntless (Abnegation was a close second)
Zay Babineaux: Since he’s all about keeping the peace I am going to put him in Amity, even though he wouldn’t really fit in the ‘hippie’ culture.
Smackle: I was going back and forth behind Candor and Erudite and even though she’s very intelligent I am going to have go with Candor just because she’s very blunt and honest.
Thank you so much for reading! Let me know what you would choose! I am going to tag @joshayagrewupgorgeous (That page is awesome so check it out!) and @hahurredits (Those edits are amazing so make sure to go to that page!) and anyone else who wants to do it!
Feel free to add more characters or more fandoms!

Maya // Clutterbucket Legacy
Prompt requested by: @markmcg9718
“Maya, please!” Katie pleads as she drives Maya to school. Riley had a doctors appointment so she was going to be late for school and Maya didn’t want to ride the subway alone. “It’ll be fun! Isn’t Riley trying out?”
“Riley always tries out and Riley always never makes it,” Maya retorts, with an eye-roll, taking her feet off the dashboard. She was trying to get a extra few minutes of sleep on the ride to school but that wasn’t going to happen.
“I did it, and so did your great grandmother and grandmother,” Katie responds. “Just please try out! Signs up are today.”
Maya groans in annoyance, her mother wasn’t going to let up about this. “Okay,” she finally says in defeat. Her mother cheers in glee. “I’ll sign up but no promises that I’ll go to the try out or make the team, okay?”
“Okay,” Katie says, but she had a smug smile placed on her face. Maya rolled her eyes.
~*~
“So did you sign up?” Katie calls out to Maya as she sets the table.
Maya was sitting on the couch in the living room trying to finish up a history paper. “Yes, I told you I would.”
“Sign up for what?” Shawn asks, coming out from his office and into the living room. He looked at Maya and then into the kitchen at Katie.
“Mom begged me to sign up for cheer leading,” Maya shrugs, “So I am going to try out-,” she turns and gives her mom a pointed look. “-but no promises I make it.”
“Cheer leading? Really?” Shawn asks, a frown on his face as he takes a seat next to Maya. “Is that really a good idea, Katie?”
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Katie asks curiously, “Let’s discuss this over dinner.”
Maya got up and followed Shawn into the kitchen and takes a seat at the table. “I’ve already signed up and Riley’s going to try out too so it might be fun,” she says, trying to brush it off like it wasn’t a big deal.
“But don’t cheer leaders wear those short skirts and crop top things?” Shawn asks, scooping some mashed potatoes onto his plate.
“They don’t wear crop tops,” Katie rolls her eyes. “I was a cheerleader and so was my mom and her mom. Maya is just keeping the Clutterbucket legacy alive.”
“I just don’t think Maya should try out,” Shawn states. “When she makes the team she’ll have to go to all the sporting events and prep rallies and dance in front of everyone.”
“I don’t have stage fright so that won’t be a problem,” Maya clarifies.
“I know you don’t. I am not worried about you. I just don’t want all those sleazy guys in your school checking you out,” Shawn responds, taking a bite of his chicken. “Believe it or not I was a teenage guy once. I know how they think.”
Maya and Katie both laugh. “What?” Shawn asks, looking between them. “How is that funny?”
Katie calms down first and replies, “No, it’s not funny. It’s sweet that you care, but she’s trying out.”
Shawn sighs, “There’s no winning with you two is there?” he asks hopelessly.
“Nope,” they both say together.

NEW ERA // JOSHAYA
Okay so this might be a new series? Idk. We will see how you guys like it. New Era will be about all of their kids. I am going to start out with headcanons about the kids so you guys can get to know them and yeah. I am rambling. If you have any new era prompts or regular prompts let me know! Anyway, let's get started.....
JOSHAYA
Josh and Maya got married straight out of college, no one thought that they would be the first ones to get married but they were.
They eloped of course, neither one of them wanting a big wedding
After three years of adventures and traveling the world (painting, writing, and taking pictures wherever they went) they settled down back in New York
There apartment just happened to be right below Riley’s and Lucas’
A year later, Maya was pregnant (At the same time as Riley - the boys thing they planned it but they plead the fifth)
When Maya found out she almost had a panic attack. Was she going to be a good mother? Was she going to leave like her father? Was Josh going to leave? Would they have enough money to take care of a child?
She finally knocked the sense into herself and went to work putting together the way she was going to tell Josh. She had a big thing planned out but she ended up blurting it out.
9 months later, Katie Rose Matthews was born.
Three days after Katie was born so was Joseph (Joe) Friar was born. Named after Lucas’ Pappy Joe.
Maya and Riley were slightly disappointed that they both didn’t have the same gender so they could be as good as friends as they were but then Josh jokingly (and stupidly) told them they could always arrange their marriage.
They’ve been planning the wedding ever since
2 years after Katie was born, Maya was pregnant again. This time it was a complete accident. Or should she say accidents. She was having twins.
Two months after Katie’s third birthday her sisters Riley Marie Matthews and Amelia (Amy) Topanga Matthews was born.
Josh was definitely not used to being surrounded by all girls. That would change a year later when Corey James Matthews, nicknamed James, was born.
Sorry if that was super boring, I just want to introduce the families before I start writing prompts and headcanons about them! What ship should I do next?

JOSHAYA // STUCK ON YOU
Requested by: @forget-the-reason
“I cannot believe you just said that!” Maya yells, as she slams a dish into the sink. “We’ve been planning this anniversary dinner for weeks! I took off work tonight, I could have been studying for finals! I understood that you had to work today so I stayed home to cook, but Josh it’s midnight!”
“I know, I am sorry, after work Andrew stopped in and we were catching up and I forgot,” he says, feeling horrible as he looked at the dinner she prepared them sitting in Tupperware containers on the counter.
“I don’t care, Josh. Obviously are two year anniversary didn’t matter to you so why should it matter to me?” she asks, walking over to the door and slipping on her boots and coat.
“Where are you going? We could still eat? I have ice cream in the freezer,” he says, a sad hope to salvage the night.
“It’s midnight, I need to get home. I have to get up early tomorrow morning for class,” she says, grabbing her bag and opening the door. “I’ll see you tomorrow unless your too busy for me again.”
“Maya, please, let’s talk about this. I’ll drive you home,” he says, grabbing his keys.
“No, Josh. I just want to go home and think about this,” she states, walking out the door shutting it behind her. Josh quickly opens it, grabbing his jacket on the way.
“Maya, I am sorry, okay. I’ll make it up to you, we can go out tomorrow night. I’ll make reservations or I’ll cook! Whatever you want,” he says, following her into the elevator and sloppily putting on his jacket.
“I can’t tomorrow, and I can’t the next day and then you can’t the two days after that. This day was perfect, we were both free tonight,” Maya states, pushing the lobby button angrily. “I don’t want to talk about this right now. I am tired.”
Josh sighs and leans against the wall of the elevator, trying to think of way to make it up to her. The elevator shook and then came to a stop, the lights flickering off. “What’s going on?” Maya asks, worry laced in her voice.
“I think the elevator shut down,” he says, calmly knowing how Maya gets when she’s trapped in small spaces. “Do you have your phone?”
He hears her going through her bag. “Umm.. yes! I found it!” she cheers, he waits for the light of the screen to light up the elevator but it never comes. “It’s dead. I used all of it playing flappy bird.”
“Really?” he says, shooting her a judgemental look even though he knew she couldn’t see it.
He hears her sigh in defeat and throw her phone back into her bag. “Yes, really. I had to do something while I waited for you not to show up,” she snaps. “What about you? Or did you use all your battery talking to Andrew.”
He chooses to ignore her comments and pats his pockets, nothing. “I left it upstairs,” he states. “The landlord should get a message when the elevator shuts down so we will be out of here soon.”
He hears her going through her bag and then a lid popping. “What are you doing?” he asks.
“Eating, I wasn’t going to leave you everything I cooked,” she retorts, sliding down the wall and sitting down on the floor. He does the same. She was still very mad but at least they could talk.
“I am sorry,” he states solemnly after a few minutes of silence.
She scoffs and replies with, “So you’ve said before. Listen, I told you I don’t want to talk and I am sticking to that. Just let me eat in peace.”
“Okay,” he says, giving up. After a while of just sitting in the dark not speaking. She crawls over and sits down next to me. I raise an eyebrow curiously out of instinct.
“I am still mad at you,” she says, as she rests her head on my shoulder. “I just don’t like being in here.”
I nod, trying not to move too much. The next thing I know I am being nudged awake by the maintenance guy. “It’s a good thing you two are friendly with each other, or this would have been an awkward night for you two,” he laughs, before disappearing into the lobby.
“Maya, wake up,” I say, nudging her head. She swats my hand away. “Maya, come on. You have to get up.”
She lifts her head up and looks around groggily. “Where am I?” she asks, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. “Were free!” she says, shooting up. Then she looks down at Josh. “I guess this wasn’t a horrible way to spend our anniversary.”

JOSHAYA// SWEET 18TH
Requested by: (both of you wanted Maya's 18th birthday so I decided to combined them) @joshayagrewupgorgeous and @markmcg9718
Josh
"How many days?" Andrew, Josh's roommate, asks as he spins in his desk chair to face Josh, who was pacing back and forth in the small open space of the very crowded dorm room.
"Six hours technically but that'll make it midnight and-hey!" Josh says, once he realizes his roommate caught him. "I am not that obsessed. I am just nervous."
"So she's going to be eighteen in six hours? Why can't you just go over there now and tell her?" Andrews asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Because that defeats the purpose of waiting until she was eighteen," Josh retorts in an obvious tone.
"Six hours and two years is a big difference. She you should go see her," Andrew says, all he wanted was his friend to stop mopping around counting down the days. He wasn't even with her and he was already whipped.
"No, I can wait. I think I'll just go to the library or maybe for a walk," Josh says, grabbing his messenger bag and his dorm key. "I'll be back in an hour."
"Okay," Andrew replies shaking his head.
Andrew
An hour went by and he heard a buzzing sound. He looked down at his phone but he didn't have any new notifications. The buzzing continued so he got up to investigate. He found Josh's phone under a bunch of books on his desk.
Riley: Hey Uncle Josh! Remember Maya's birthday party tomorrow!
Riley: She's too stubborn to invite you herself but I know she'll really like it if you come!
Riley: Also could you pick up the pizzas on your way? 2 o'clock sharp! Thanks Uncle J!
Andrew scrolled through Josh's messages and saw a chat with Maya. He had a message asking her to meet him tonight but he never sent it.
Now when Josh asks later on Andrew will of course lie and tell him he accidentally dropped a text book on his phone which must of sent the message but If this works out Josh will probably be too happy to even ask. The phone vibrated again and he got a reply from Maya. That was quick.
Maya: Yeah Ofc. Everything ok? Does 7 work?
Andrew frowned, he didn't think that he actually would have to reply to her. He quickly typed out a Josh like responses and set the phone down. “Hey Andrew, miss me?” Josh asks coming back into the room a smile on his face. “Do you know if I left my phone here?”
“Um yeah, it’s over there,” Andrew says gesturing towards the general direction of where it was. “Your niece kept texting you so I turned off vibrations so if the messages say read that’s why.” Andrew lies quickly, looking down at my watch it was seven o’clock, Maya would be here any minute.
“It’s cool,” he says, scrolling through his messages. There was a soft knock on the door. “Were you expecting anyone?” he asks, as he opens the door. He stands there frozen for a minute when he sees the small blonde before him. “Maya?”
“You seem surprise?” she asks, confused holding up her phone which displayed the message. “You texted me? Are you okay? Did you hit your head or something in the last hour?” she jokes.
Josh turns towards me, sending me a glare. “Oh yeah of course, sorry I was just studying for a exam and it slipped my mind.”
Maya frowns, “Oh, I can come back another time. You’ll be there tomorrow, right? For my party?” she asks, like she doesn’t know Josh is in love with her and would go to the moon if she wanted.
“No!” Josh says, quickly and Maya’s mouth actually opens in surprise. “No! I mean yes I am going to your party and no don’t come back later- ugh, this isn’t coming out right. I want you to stay.”
“I am going to go grab some coffee and maybe take a long half an hour walk,” Andrew says, grabbing his backpack and passing them. “Good luck,” he calls out behind him.
Maya
“I am sorry about him,” Josh says, with a smile on his face. “Oh, come in,” he says realizing I was still standing out in the hall. “Do you want anything to drink or eat? I have some Gatorade and granola bars.”
“No, I am okay, but thanks. So what did you want to talk about?” I ask, sitting down on his desk chair. “Is everything okay? Are you okay?”
“Oh yeah I am fine, how are you?” he asks, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly as he leans on his bed post. “Actually, I don’t care. I mean I do care about how you are but I am royally screwing this up.”
Maya laughs, “You’ve known me forever, Boing. Just spill it.”
Josh smiles at the nickname, “I don’t wanna wait for tomorrow. I’ve waited long enough. I want someday to be today. I don’t wanna wait any longer to be together.”
Maya’s eyes widen and her brow furrows. “Um, are you asking me out?”
Josh nods, he has to admit he was looking for a little bit more enthusiasm. “Yes, we’ve been in the long game long enough. I want to make this official.”
“Oh Josh,” Maya says, Josh frowns at her tone. “I’ve been thinking and I just- I just think I am too young for you.” she smirks as Josh searches her face to see if she’s serious or not. “I am joking, Josh. This is actually probably the best birthday gift I could have gotten.”

JOSHAYA // MY BEST FRIENDS UNCLE
requested by: @soapsfan1
~
Riley Matthews
“I hope she doesn’t freak out when she finds out,” Maya whispers, Riley furrows her brow as she leans closer to the door to hear the response of whoever was with Maya.
“I think it’ll be a surprise but overall she’ll be happy,” her uncle responses, Why was Maya talking with Josh?
“Okay, but should we tell her? She’d probably like to know,” Maya replies, “She’s my best friend I’ve never kept a secret from her before.”
“I don’t think we should tell her yet, but I know she’ll like the surprise. She won’t be mad at you for keeping this secret,” he replies.
Her eyes widen when she realize why they must be talking. They’re throwing me a surprise party! Why else would they be talking alone?
Riley left the door with a smile on her face and carried on with her business.
A couple days later Maya and Riley were sitting at the kitchen table doing homework when Josh came home for a weekend. “Hey family,” he yells, as he opens the door. The smiles and adds, “And Maya.”
“Hey Uncle Josh, you here to do laundry?” Riley asks, gesturing to the sack he was carrying.
“Yup, I am going to go get started. Call me when dinners ready?” he asks, and Riley nods in response continuing doing her math homework. “Nice seeing you Maya.” he adds before making his way to the hallway where the washer and drier were located.
After a few minutes Maya stands up and says, “I am going to go grab a sweater, I am a little cold.”
“Really? I am sweating over here,” she comments but Maya was already down the hallway towards her room. Riley shrugs it off and continues working. After five minutes Riley starts noticing Maya’s absent and decides to go look for her. “Mayaaaaa, you can’t hide out in my room we still have a History paper we need to write.” she yells opening the door.
Maya and Josh jump apart from each other and give Riley a sheepishly look. “Surprise?” Maya says.
“MY BEST FRIEND AND MY UNCLE?” Riley yells looking back and forth between them. She couldn’t believe she had just walked in on her uncle and her best friend kissing. “My best friend and my uncle?” she says aloud trying to process the information.
“You okay honey?” Maya asks. “We wanted to tell you but we also didn’t want you to freak out-,”
“MY UNCLE AND MY BEST FRIEND!” Riley yells happily, running over to her best friend and hugging her. “Oh my gosh this is so exciting. How long have you been dating? Have you guys gone on any cute dates? OH MY GOSH YOU CAN DOUBLE DATE WITH LUCAS AND I! I am so happy for you two!”
Josh laughs, “I told you she wouldn’t be mad.”
