Shadow Crown

Is a sweet(?) prince body double isekai with a yandere twist.

I didn't see it coming. The tone bounces from very silly to very serious. The English translation isn't fantastic, but it's done for free so I'm not mad about it.

It has alot of potential.

Rael is a man from Japan who just happens to look like a specific fantasy prince, Daniel. Daniel is a pretty great guy. He uses Rael as his double because his gentle father is incompetent. Poor guy dies in an accident. That's where things get serious. The other nobles aren't as nice as the king. It was an assassination.

They manage to kill Daniel. Rael decides to act as Daniel and put his younger brother on the throne. He plans to support the royal family from the shadows forever. They were very kind to him, and the best revenge is restoring the country.

The neighboring countries emperor Lion fell in love with Rael in the beginning, when things were peaceful. He is a nice guy, but he snaps later on. He thought Rael died during the noble takeover. That drove him a little crazy. He was never attracted to Daniel, only Rael. He buries Rael in gifts and eventually locks him up.

The story is still ongoing as of Feb 12 2021

Know of an otome game where a character is a yandere?

I’ve already made a list here and here about otome games from both mobile and PC. Let me see if I can think up anymore. 

Soloplism Reigns - Kuro. By my good friend @melancholy-marionette​. There are a lot of different routes for this game.

Infatuation - A couple of characters. By @plant324​. Asked me to play through it a while ago. Still in development, but you can play the demo. Based on a Wattpad book I believe. Future Recommendation. 

Period Cube - Zen and Poyo. Never played this one but based on this ask and some other places does seem to have a yandere in it. If it comes out on anything that’s not a PSVita, I might play it. 

Gekka Ryouran Romance - Wabisuke. Never played this one either, but based on this ask, it also seems to have a yandere in it. 

XOXO Blood Droplets - Shilo. Technically he would be a yandere, but I’ve never played the full version, only the demo. I think many of the other boys are as well.

Hmm, can’t really think of any other ones that I haven’t listed yet. You all are wringing me dry haha.

What's your recommendation for yandere media? Manga to anime to books. Anythin!

My favorite type of yandere is a guy who craves a girl so much that he’ll do very bad things - from kidnapping to murder - to obtain her. Unfortunately, this type of dynamic is not easy to find, so I have to take what I can get, even if the yandere role is brief, subtle, cheesy, or doesn’t really fit the bill. However, I do have some favorites to share, some with a strong yandere presence and some with yandere vibes.
