Head Rest

Ship: Lou Miller x Reader

Word count: 355+

Warnings: None

Synopsis: Reader falls asleep in Lou’s lap.

It had been a long day. Debbie had explained the plan for the next heist and the whole group were perfecting the details. As 6pm rolled around, tiredness did too. You and Lou sat on the couch, sharing a bottle of wine between you both.

“Baby, can we cuddle?” You lean onto her shoulder, and whisper into her ear. “How about you lay your head in my lap, hm?” She lowly returns, her smooth voice relaxing you. “Sounds good to me,” you smirk and lay down, your head laying on her lap. She looks down at you and smiles contently, her hands making their way to your hair, stroking it lightly.

You hum and close your eyes, finally relaxed. “You’re cute when you’re tired,” she mumbles, still stroking your hair and her fingers raking through your hair. You blush lightly before snuggling further into her lap. “You guys are adorable,” Daphne commented, walking past to refill her wine glass.

Within a few minutes of Lou’s soft touches, you were asleep. Occasionally, Lou looked down to look at you peacefully sleeping, a faint smile on your lips. You were truely happy. Tammy and Debbie notice Lou smiling down at you. “I’ve never seen her so happy,” Tammy leans to Debbie, they both nod looking at her.

Debbie stands up and walks past Lou, “you’re a softie really.” She smirks at Lou before refilling her drink. “Shut up ocean, you’re just jealous,” she brushes off her comment and continues stroking your hair.

After a while, your eyes fluttered open, you heard quiet conversation of the group and Lou came into vision. She was laughing heartily, the sound of her laughter filling your ears waking you up. She eventually looks down to see you looking up at her blue eyes and they soften. “Sleep well honey?” She asks, stroking her thumb against your cheek. “I slept great thanks to you,” you smile and sit up, still leaning close to her. Lou lifts her arm up, letting you cuddle into her side before she puts it back down again, her hand loosely grabbing your waist.

“I love you,” you both whisper.
