Sorry for the no show the last few days. Life exploded and it took a bit to recover. All is good now, so no worries!

This is Jordan
This is my one and only soft sculpture Cabbage Patch Kid, Jordan (in her lion costume .. ROAR)
Tumblr media
I adopted Jordan from a lady in Oklahoma a few months ago and I was so excited to watch the tracking to see when she’d arrive.
Tumblr media
This is her arrive at our home.  As you can see my son, Devon and daughter, Laina were so happy to meet her.  Her original name is Khandey Khorn and she’s a Confection Affections Limited Edition Mossy Creek Kid born on December 29, 2006.
Here you can see her in her original outfit, minus her original blue turtle neck shirt because the lady I adopted her from misplaced it.  Not that I cared one teeny little bit.  Look at that face!!
My favorite thing about Jordan being part of our family is buying her new clothes!!!
Tumblr media
Here you can see her in her favorite outfits.  Her Supergirl onesie, her pumpkin fairy costume and two cute dresses.
Shortly after she arrived, I noticed that her ankle needed repair
Tumblr media
I was in no way a professional at repairing Cabbie wounds (not that I’m a pro now either) but I did my best and am happy with how it turned out and it’s held well too.
Yes I do take my babies out with me and Jordan is no exception
Tumblr media
I am hoping that at some point in the future I am able to add to the softie part of my patch but for now, Jordan is an only child and I love her SO MUCH!!
Thanks for visiting us today and I hope you’ll come again soon!

Good morning everyone!!
Today I thought I would share my very first venture into restyling a kid.  I found an adorable boy at Goodwill one day.  He’s a KT factory (Kentucky, I believe) with the common dark brown loopy hair that, I think is referred to as poodle but I’m still learning all the types and definitions of the kids.
He is a #1 HM just like the red head I shared yesterday and his bum stamp is black but no date, so I’m not positive of his year.
Tumblr media
That’s him on the right as I found him, poor little naked babies.
Tumblr media
His hair before I decided to restyle it.  It was a hard decision to cut his loops.  Once I started, there was no going back and that is kinda scary.
Tumblr media
But I went ahead and took the plunge!  He actually looked kinda cute just like this but that wasn’t the plan.  I have never in my life seen a true fuzzy kid, except when other collectors have posted them.  They are very cute and I wanted one!!!
I took a look at what others had done to restyle kids to have fuzzy hair and figured it couldn’t be all that hard.
It wasn’t!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used a flea type comb to get the last bits of twisted yarn all unravelled.
Tumblr media
Isn’t he handsome!!
If you’ve ever thought about restyling one of your kids, just go for it!  You never know unless you try.
Thanks for visiting with us today.  I hope to see you again soon!

Change of plans this morning
Good morning all!!
I was planning on introducing my one and only softie kid, Jordan to you today but it seems the Cabbies winds blew me in a different direction.
After dropping my kids off at school (no not CPKs, I have 2 kids actually.  I’m sure you’ll meet them in time) I went to the mall to pick up a few things at the grocery store.  The pull of our local Goodwill was too much!  I popped in and wandered around a bit to see what I could see.  Nothing really great in books or glassware ( always on the lookout for collectible glassware or figurines) so I wandered along to the toy section.
My favorite section of all!
I found a blue version of my Tilly B. Morrison, my favorite BAB. (she’s on the right with glasses)
Tumblr media
I even found a 2012 Cheer Bear but I prefer the older versions and I already have 3 Cheer Bears, LOL
I kept wandering, until I saw red yarn hair peeking at me from the other side of a shelf.  I reached over and pulled up this pretty lady!
(Please forgive my wrinkly sheet backdrop, I don’t have a proper place to take pictures but I’m working on it)
Tumblr media
She is a red double pony with a #1 HM (head mold)
Tumblr media
Unfortunately her side tag is gone but her bum stamp is very clear.
Tumblr media
She’s 1984!!  I was so happy to find her.  She’s in pretty good condition if you don’t count the missing toes ... I can fix those though, so no big deal.
Tumblr media
The outfit is not original CPK, it seems to be a home made dress and I’m not sure about her socks but her shoes are CPK.  They need a good cleaning because they are sticky from age but I’m sure they’ll clean up very nicely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She needs a bath and some stitches repaired but I can see a beautiful diamond in this rough looking, but seeming well loved little girl.  I hope you’ll come back to see her transformation and maybe even help me name her.
Tumblr media
I almost forgot her adorable bloomers!  These aren’t original CPKs either but gosh they are cute!!
Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you!!
Thanks for visiting with us here in our patch!

My Mandarin Bears
Tumblr media
These are the two adorable little Pandas I collected from the Mandarin Restaurant.  My hubby and I love to go there and when I saw these guys I was in love.  The Bamboo bear came home first and the Chinese New Year bear came home in January when the kids and I took hubby out for his birthday.
These two are part of my “regular stuffy bear” collection, meaning they aren’t license cartoon characters or anything like that.
The picture of the emoji pebbles is just there because it’s cute!

Good day to you and welcome to my new (again) Tumblr blog.
In this blog I will be sharing my love for Cabbage Patch Kid dolls, Build a Bears, Care Bears and the odd American Girl style doll here and there.   I am late in getting this up and going as I have quite a few of each toy mentioned above but I’m going to go back through them and introduce them to you.  There are a lot of kids here that really want to say HI!
I hope you will enjoy going on this journey with me as I adopt more babies and bears for my collection, as I repair the injured ones and refurbish and dress others.
Come along with me and we walk into the garden
