Apparently I have some comic skills (lol don’t get too excited I rarely have the motivation to finish anything)

Here’s a WiP of a comic I drew for my silly lil Speed Racer AU where the racer’s are basically Bluetooth linked to their cars (they are able to control their cars remotely) The cars in this universe are practically grounded jets that give off extremely dangerous g-forces that would kill them without mandatory cybernetic implants.

Although most average racers only have basic neck and spine protection (ie easily reversible normally) Some racers mod themselves in much more extreme ways. Some for more offensive capabilities others for vanity and some (like Speed) for necessity.

As I mentioned before in a previous post, Speed is one of the most modded racers in the world due to a tragic accident that nearly tore the Racer family apart. This incident resulted in Speed having nearly 70% of his body destroyed including nearly all of his limbs and senses. (He was pretty much blind, deaf, and paralyzed) thanks to his Pop’s genius and support from a mysterious benefactor they were able to help Speed recover completely using extremely experimental mods.

These mods however forever changed Speed (basically making him damn near superhuman) which causes him some issues ✨ such as body issues and imposter syndrome. Because his mods are so visible the public tends to perceive him as a robot/android which hurts his feelings…😭

This comic is a example on some of the struggles Speed faces in his pursuit of becoming the best Racer in the world.
