Listening to TTPD in full (it’s been a few months) and she really is that girl. The storytelling is astounding, truly one of my favorite things she’s ever done.

TAYLOR SWIFT and CAITLIN CLARK Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs
#it’s kinda sad that in the past year she’s had to cover her mouth when speaking in public because of lip reading#these accounts have received exponential attention in the last few years#and I find it harmful especially since it’s so interpretative and based on assumptions

I think the line from MBOBHFT that really stands out to me is "Pull the string / And I'll tell you that he runs / Because he loves me" because it's the (seemingly) thesis for so many of Taylor's most impactful relationships...Jake, Harry, Joe eventually. The idea that so many men in her life would leave and come back and leave and come back like that does something to a person! The constant whiplash of "I'm not good enough for them to stay but good enough to eventually come running back" is sooooo
The "pull the string" part of it especially because it paints the picture of an automaton giving the response they've been trained to deliver. It's the answer that has been learned through the dehumanizing experience of being left on repeat and instructed that desertion is akin to romance. ("Please leave me stranded it's so romantic")
I'm good enough to be loved, but not enough for someone to be willing to stay ("Who could stay")

Blank Space to I Did Something Bad to The Bolter is such a amazing timeline. Blank Space kind of sarcastically roasting the way she used to be seen to I Did Something Bad kind of semi sarcastically roasting her old ways but kinda owning it to The Bolter almost wishing she had just left when she had doubts as early as possible and saying "she'd have the best stories"
God I love Taylor artistic pipelines so much. "The Bolter" is particularly fascinating because it's on an album where she's documenting what it was like for her on the other side of trying to unlearn bolting - to the point of her own detriment and insanity. She battled with staying vs bolting for so long that she lost her mind over it.
It's also wild and like ... I know this, you know this, we know this but it truly is the craziest and most privileged thing on earth to get to watch this artist understand themselves in real time and to get to hear them learn lessons (sometimes the same lesson) at different points in their life and feel different emotions about the same topic as their prism of experience and age and maturity change with them.
I know that is like ... a baseline repetition of facts of, "Taylor puts out music about her life. Her life changes over time. It's in her music" but it's just so crazy to hear parallels in her music because it's all written in her voice about her life.
It's like when you come across a diary page you wrote as a kid and even though you were a child you can still recognize your "you"ness in it and know how that version of you thought and felt and you can recognize the bits of your language and self that you still might use even now.
And we get to see that play out in Taylor's art and every day it really just /pikachu memes me the f*ck out.
Like do you ever look in the mirror at your reflection and poke your own face and wonder if you're real and the gift of living is astounding and bewildering to you? Sometimes it's like brain explosion hearing things for the first time all over again with Taylor's music.
A friend the other day put the puzzle pieces together of "Mary's Song" and "So High School" with "I was sixteen when suddenly" to "Bittersweet sixteen suddenly" and it's like WOW.

An underrated horse fact is that if you have horse that is both A. Not stupid and B. Likes you, it will actively try to prevent you from falling to your doom when you fuck up as a rider. Like actually make an effort not to drop you like a cell phone. I think horses deserve more credit for that.
