here’s my advice. that thing you’re insecure about? make it one of your f/o’s favorite things about you. doesn’t matter what it is. it’ll be hard at first, you might think ‘there’s no way my f/o could love this part of me that much’. it’s fine. try it anyway. every time you become aware of your insecurity, you see it in the mirror or you see yourself doing it, don’t shy away from it in embarrassment or disgust. face it head on. tell yourself that your f/o loves it. they adore it. they think it’s cute, hot, unique, endearing. you don’t have to like it right away. you don’t ever really have to love it ever. but at least don’t hate it. and if you can’t not hate it for you, try to not hate it because your f/o really likes it and they’d be pretty hurt if they heard you talking bad about it.

Question for selfshippers with NON live-action f/os (maybe this question has been asked before D:)

Do you imagine an irl version of your non live-action f/o? As in human ethnic features, realistic skin, hair, bodies etc as if they're people you'd meet irl?

Personally I only have a vague picture and I want to imagine them clearer (especially my main f/o) except I don't know how to 😔 maybe I'll practice drawing realistic ethnic features and draw them better to aid my visualisation!

I want you to know that even if you don't like yourself, your f/o looks at you like you've created everything beautiful in this world, they adore your strength and your vulnerability and they can't get enough of your energy and who you are. They love being around you whether you both talk or it's complete silence and they'd do anything to show you that, they'd reassure you every time if they needed to if it's what helped you feel more loved. Because you are, you are so loved, and that includes being loved by them.
