i've been a total casual and haven't really felt blogging about BB24 a little because i took a trip that disrupted my viewing & mostly because i've just been pretty bored with the season
it started really boring with a dumb twist and a bunch of house guests that were super basic and not likable then it got weird with that dumb paloma drama and pretty racist with the unfounded hate of Taylor
it got a little interesting with the forming of the Leftovers. i was happy to see a big alliance not full of buff/pretty white people take out the rest of the house then turn on each other even if that is just kind of the reverse of how most season go BUT they imploded almost instantly and didn't know how to be loyal (the alliances this season have all been a total disaster... zeroes across the boards)
the drama of the split twist was fun but as soon as it ended it got boring again and has been boring since
what's interesting to me is that there are actually a lot of good players with a lot of potential to be great players (Taylor, Monte, Michael, Joseph, Turner and even Nicole) but we never really got to see any of them do anything really great game play or strategy-wise. everyone seemed to be kind of fumbling and making stuff up on the fly every week
is it just me? how is everyone feeling?

-first things first: jasmine is gone! so glad i don't have to hear her stupid voice anymore -it's just infuriating that everything everyone did in the backyard this week was done with ZERO forethought about the rest of the game -i hate that joseph went... he was actually a good player and wasn't an asshole and that's pretty rare in the bb house -pretty much everything at dyre fest was stupid but turner takes the cake... like why give up an alliance w/ the strongest players in the game for an alliance with the weakest!? -i was really surprised by the reaction when they went back in the house. i expected taylor to be visibly upset; monte seemed pretty crushed but trying to hold it together. -curious to see what happens on the feeds tonight

ALSO the "but they don't vote the same" about kyle alyssa just kind of makes the point that neither of them know what the fuck they're doing AND that kyle can't be trusted even by his stupid showmance!
Terrance seriously thinking Joseph and Monte are tighter than Alyssa and Kyle is soooo deranged I cannot believe my ears rn

-i guess spoilergirl was right -splitting them then doing a regular 1 hour episode made it feel really rushed. like, if there had been major game moves/drama inside & out the wouldn't have been able to fit it all in. that with the loss of outside feeds make it really hard to judge what's really going on -don't throw rocks at me BUT i think using the veto was smart move for terrence. like he said, they are just telling him shit he never would have known so why not try to get more info? -it's also impossible to know what terrence's intentions are. i think it was mainly to try and get info & possible get some favor back from turner but if he really wanted kyle out, he would have put off joseph because he KNOWS based on their convo he's anti-kyle -the smartest move would have been to put alyssa up, vote her out when it's tied and leave kyle in the game as a target for the LOs -still hate jasmine and it's one of my biggest BB pet peeves when some asshole that hasn't even been playing the game is on the block and says stuff like "i'm not going down without a fight" like they have moves to make. what moves do you have to make jasmine? get out of here -i'm suuuuuper interested in what the joseph/turner convos have been like. -at least this week game-wise has been interesting

-i like this twist (as much as you can really like any twist) -as truly dumb as i think kyle's move was, at least this stupid twist forced his hand and he exposed himself sooner rather than later so the LOs know what they're dealing with -i miss house guests that would yell at and hate each other. i do. like in early seasons of big brother if some dude just admitted to his showmance that he ruined her game she would be throwing shit all over the damn place -terrence stupid little "they won the first half but they'll lose the 2nd half" like HOW? as soon as you're all back together & a LO wins HOH you're gonna be kissing ass from the block so just stfu -jasmine remains one of my least fave house guest of all time -i will be sooooooooooooo sad if turner has to go to the jury house with jasmine. at least he got a week of peace before tho

people really out here trying to defend kyle blowing up the LOs as a good game move...
being the expendable member of the most powerful alliance in the house is still a better position than being the biggest target of the most powerful alliance in the house
this leaves him with terrence and alyssa, 2 of the weakest players, one of which can't play the next HOH
it all hinges on him being able to turn michael/britney against the LOs and you can't talk to them for a week
this is the definition of playing for THIS week with no regard for the rest of the game
IF kyle/alyssa do survive this week, both of them surviving next week is can only happen if 1 of them winning HOH which is pretty unlikely & even if you do, the LOs still control the votes

look. there's hope. crazier things have happened. if joseph OR turner win veto and come down one of them has to go up and the vote will be split and maybe joeseph/turner can sway terrence to vote their way
this works best if terrence puts up allysa against turner because there's the argument that she's "stronger" than turner & it breaks up a showmance
this would also be best case because kyle is left in the house with all the people he betrayed & not his gf

i just gotta hope at this point that Turner & Joseph talk to terrence and are smart and say "yes, we had this alliance... it's basically the rest of the house, you put up kyle & alyssa and you can have kyle's spot in the LOs and make it at least to final 7"
literally promise him ANYthing at this point and go back on it later

michael had ONE JOB - pick alyssa and NOT kyle so you could get rid of her without him interfering

i think if michael is smart (and assuming he wants to move forward w/ the LOs) he will pick a non LO as the target first then pick all LOs so terrence can't evict them... it's risky to only have 1 option because of veto but it puts them in the best position. i don't think terrence is going to have a lot of strategy going into his picks (or there will be a DR where he reveals his very faulty logic on picks)
so michael picks alyssa (he seemed to think she was a threat)
i think terrence will pick monte or joseph first (let's say monte)
michael picks whichever of those guys terrence doesn't (so terrence can't target both "big threats")
terrence picks taylor probably
micheal picks britney
terrence picks jasmine
michael picks turner
terrence picks kyle (i think michael will avoid picking kyle because he would rather get monte or joseph out if he is forced to make a 'big move')
which leaves
HOUSE 1: michael, alyssa, joseph, britney & turner
HOUSE 2: terrence, monte, taylor, jasmine & kyle
unless terrence gets to pick first. so many scenarios are possible guyzzzz

literally just thought "fuck we have to spend TWO HOURS with these people"
i dunno it's just kind of boring. the Leftovers had a lot of potential as an alliance but they're imploding slowly for all the dumb reasons alliances implode
i still hate jasmine so much and the segment of her bday where turner just hated her so much was great
OHHHH michael telling indy about the LOs in his goodbye was SUUUUUUUUUPER shady. like NOT COOL dude. am i the only one that felt that way? like on one hand it seems like good gameplay (he's controlling the narrative and putting her in a position where she can't really fault him & IS mad at the others for not telling her) but just as like BB etiquette (is that a thing??) it just seems like not cool.
