I've been up and down the coast last week. And I drew some of the sights I saw. If I wasn't walking around as much, I'd have drawn a lot of the other places too.

One of the old salts here as this is my 7th fight. I have pirates on the brain this year for writing two pirate novels (one's fanfic and the other is OC fic with one of the characters who I've managed to cram aboard my artfight profile last minute) so be expectin' a lot of pirate-related stuff from me this year.

public enemy number 1

I posted my art fight stuff whilst I was waiting for a build of a game I'm working on to upload to my itch and gamejolt.

I had spent far too long not being able to even make the build because of a single corrupted mesh - a hollow pipe I used to Boolean stuff for making the main assets.

Suffice to say I had to just rip it out of the file explorer because it crashed the engine when I tried to delete it, and then crashed the engine if I even had it selected afterwards.

Here is a painting of that BASTARD that gave me anxiety for a whole week as it made me think the whole project could be FUCKED.

Art fight 2024 - mass attack

This was the thing I had the most fun drawing. It's small because it's in an A6 sketchbook I made myself, as are all of 2024's drawings.

I grabbed as many Dragon quest OC's as I could and crammed them into DQIX's stornway (somewhere that has eaten of both my waking and sleeping hours). I might just go for more polished ones like this after some warm-ups this year.

the drawing I did for PaigeLTS05 was where I found out a way to draw water that I loved so much, I also used it to draw grass later down the line. it's fun to do and has a good outcome

Some art for a friend of mine

one of my friends has several worldbuilding projects (as do I), and I got an idea in my brain that catapulted me into drawing a full-on illustration again. I've mostly been sketching as of late, not really had the energy, motivation, or inspiration to create a full on illustration like this in a long while.

other inktober - days 29,30,31

This was the last 3 days of Monstergardens inktober.

I decided to post the entire sheets I did the drawings on as a send-off for day 31. I was honestly surprised that I was able to complete 61 drawings in a month - it does help that I was drawing very small and making sketches on post-it-notes that I keep in my pockets whilst I'm out and about, so I could put all that time on the train to good use.

And I KNOW I drew a characters amputation on the wrong side on day 30, I realised during colouring but couldn't be arsed to draw it all again on a separate sheet because it was already inked by then

and if anyone was listening to my day 21-24 ramblings, This is "that scale" - 15 drawings per A4 sheet.

For this inktober - I focused on my world-building project; aspects of which have references to other media I like - for example, the beta deign of the energy-containment-pods look somewhat like grief seeds from pmmm. My plan is for them to look more like mini, spikey Aerotrim's, the closest thing I could draw at that moment in that scale (you'll see soon enough what I mean by "that scale") was a spikier grief-seed.
