“idk if what you said about humans not being supposed to have their period every month for 40 years was true” no. it is. our ancestors had fewer periods in their lifetimes, due to a number of factors like lower life expectancy and long term chronic breastfeeding. it wastes an incredible amount of energy and resources for the body. people in the past generally started their periods later. of course, the regularity of periods in the modern population is due to better nutrition but I stand by what I said. bodies are not built to shed our uterine lining and 2+ ounces of blood every month for 30+ years. just because it can do it doesn’t mean it’s good for it.

there’s been a really bizarre trend in the past couple years of TERFS/radfems getting pissed off about biology posts. posts about the bilateral gyandromorph cardinal (one half male, one half female), posts about older hens beginning to crow and act like roosters, posts about animals being animals. and it’s hilarious because they interpret these posts as some kind of agenda. no! these are animals not choosing any gender identity or sexuality but being born into bodies they have no control over. weird how that happens in nature huh

A good rule of thumb for AI is "would you trust a trained pigeon to do this?"
"We trained a pigeon to recognise cancerous cell clusters and somehow they're really good at it" okay great, that's something that could plausibly be a thing.
"We trained a pigeon to recognise good CV:s and left it in charge of sorting through all our job applications" uh perhaps consider not doing that.

I’ve decided that all bats fall somewhere on this horrid little graph I’ve devised. Here are some prime examples of the various Creature Varieties found in nature.
